This filter fit my Samsung refrigerator perfectly and was very easy to install. The water tastes noticeably better and I haven't had any leaks or problems since replacing the old one. My only complaint is the price since the genuine filters cost quite a bit more than third party options. Even so, the fit and performance have been reliable enough that I'd probably buy them again.

You may be like me, suspicious of these filters being counterfeit. However, doing my research and checking with Samsung’s own website, these are legit. You’ll get the same updated packaging and labeling from the ones at your local Home Depot or Lowe’s, etc. The labeling changed since Samsung has started to go cheaper to help the environment and cut costs. There is no magnetic strip for authentication anymore like this product description shows. Instead, you download an app that has a very difficult time scanning the QR code, but once you get it to scan you’ll see the scan count. If yours scans as 1, you have a genuine filter that has never been scanned before. I verified by scanning twice and the count goes up. Some users report scan number in the thousands, those will be counterfeit and needs to be returned. It’s strange Samsung would provide a sketchy app developed by a developer that is not associated with Samsung to handle their authentication. They could’ve incorporated the scanning with their fridge app we already use to control the fridge. Nonetheless, the official Samsung website shows all of this on their product page now, even the gray label on the filters with the type of the word “Standrad”, right on Samsung’s website. So yes, even though it’s looks suspicious with typo on the labeling, it’s the real deal. Samsung has gone cheap. Not sure if these filters work like they claim, but this is the best we can get that works with the fridge.

We have a Samsung bespoke fridge and this filter worked just right. It was easy to replace. Comes with two in one pack. The picture I included is the amazon Samsung filter on the left and the Samsung filter that came with the fridge. It was the first time I replaced the filter since buying the fridge. The only difference was the text/color on the filters. I did run the water dispenser to fill up about 5-6 water pitchers to dispose of. We did not have any issues with clogging. When using the water dispenser, initially after installation, it did create some water spurts since it seemed to be getting rid of any air in the water lines.

The other amazing thing is the water is really clean for example leaving the water as is for greater than 12 hours after pouring from the fridge and the water does not taste sour is an amazing aspect
