In this final installment, Kyrii, still searching for the Net Terminal Gene, traces the steps of Cibo, reincarnated as a Level 9 Safeguard, and Sanakan, now a representative of the Administration. As Sanakan guides Cibo to a safe place where her sphere can develop in peace, Cibo is captured by the Silicon Life. Sanakan contacts Kyrii requesting his help in rescuing Cibo, because in her current form she may hold the key to saving the city. Sanakan risks everything in the battle against the Silicon Life. Kyrii arrives at a critical moment, and continues his endless journey while carrying the embodiment of hope for a different future beyond the outer limits of the city... Review: A masterpiece! - A dark quest through a surreal post-singularity labyrinth whose scale is impossible to fathom, over expanses of time too vast to comprehend. Tsutomu Nihei is the most visionary artist I've been blessed enough to discover! Review: Cream of the Crop - Great ending to a great series, even though it leaves a whole lot open to interpretation. The art still blows me away, and is some of the most unique architecture I've ever seen. I don't read any manga, and very few graphic novels, but this is one series I've fallen for and I bought all of the new reprints.

You'll love BLAME!
I love this manga, the movie was alright but did its job. To make interested in original source and have no regrets buying all the books. Honestly one of the best scifi materials out there

Quality
The Books are bigger than your average series, almost as if it's the original draft of the manga. Would definitely recommend to any fan

Requires multiple readings
This manga series doesn't have the most straightforward story. It needs your full attention toward all dialogue and visual details in order to comprehend the plot. The final volume can be daunting if you haven't kept up with information from past volumes. Even if you have, it can still be a challenge. I fall in the latter and I had to read this volume a few times before I started to have a semblance of understanding. This comprehension barrier does knock it down a star for me but that's not taking anything away from Nihei's incredible art and bleakly beautiful world. Still highly recommend this to all manga readers.

The sixth, and "finale" of a masterpiece.
This is Nihei's best. With Cibo gone, Sanakan missing, and a mysterious genetic backup device that tries to steal his body in the first minutes of their meeting... Killy gains a new companion to search for the Net Terminal Gene with. But can he find Cibo? What remains of her? Will he ever recover the humanity he has seemingly lost? Now a cold killer worn and beaten down by the city with the last shreds of who he was barely held together by his one driving mission. Can a human fine hope when those he has known and kept him company for the past two hundred years of wandering are seemingly gone? Even Sanakan has vanished... all that connects Killy to who he was, are gone. Not a word from the mysterious society that set him on this mission in the first place. No answer to what a beach is, to sand, to ground. Can Killy find hope? This uniquely singular world and setting from the imaginative artist and writer Nhei taps into his best aspects of creation. Setting, world, mystery... the plot is simple, characters have clear motives with supporting situations that explore them in quiet and reserved ways. This story is the perfect expression of Nihei's talents. No wonky teenage melodrama, no weird back half changes... it starts, journeys, and ends beautifully.

As pictured, new print
If you enjoy the visual architectural part of this manga, this is by far the best part to truly comprehend the world development. It has the least of dialogue and I have just found myself totally immersed the atmosphere.
