Waffley versatile
Let's get one thing straight. This waffle maker is small. I mean the main unit is about the size of a McDonalds Big Mac when closed. It therefore makes small waffles and anything else you can put in it. I've also experimented with a single beaten egg with a sprinkling of cheese and effectively gotten an 'egg and cheese waffle' which is much like a waffle omlette. Anyway. With the right waffle mixture batter, this maker works very well and produces well-cooked waffles. Here is my recipe that will make you around six waffles when made in this maker: -------------------------- Switch the unit on about 10 minutes before you want to use it. The hotter the better. Ingredients: 120g waffle/pancake mixture (I use Krusteaz® Buttermilk Pancake Mix for sheer value for money) 175ml milk (I often use 100ml milk and 75ml of double cream for extra luxury) (NB. for healthier waffles, just use 175ml of water instead) 35ml of vegetable oil 1 egg Mix all the above to a decent consistency but don't overmix. Set mixture aside for about 5 minutes to settle. Spray/spread a bit of vegetable oil on the top and bottom griddle. Pour and spread the batter until the waffle maker's 'teeth' are about to disappear. Don't overfill. Leave it so you can still see the top of the 'teeth'. Close the lid and leave for approx 4 minutes. That's usually enough cooking time but experiment to your own preference. The waffle will rise during cooking but leave it be and don't be tempted to push the lid down. In my experience, this just shoots the uncooked batter out of the side and makes a mess. Serve and enjoy. Add sugar / pancake syrup / maple syrup / scoop of ice-cream...the world is your oyster. Or waffle. -------------------------- Cleanup is simple and straightforward. Leave the unit to cool and then get some kitchen towel to wipe the inside and then maybe a wet kitchen wipe or Dettol wipe to wipe down the outside. Because the thing is so small, it no trouble at all. -------------------------- I'd say its strengths are also its weaknesses. Being small means it takes up no space out on the side or in a cupboard. It's easy to clean and most importantly cooks the waffles to perfection. Conversely, its small size might be a hindrance when you're hungry. You can only cook one small waffle every five minutes. Lol, larger machines will make bigger AND two-to-four waffles in one go which is obvs much better for a family or a hungry person in a rush. For me, it seems perfect though. I'll make the above mentioned batter, make three waffles and put the rest of the batter in the fridge for tomorrow's three waffles. Five out of five from me. Early days so should anything change (it breaks in an unreasonable amount of time), I'll come back here and update the review. -------------------------- Please do me a favour: if you found this review helpful, please tell a loved-one how much you love and appreciate them. We're not around for long.

Tiny little gadget
This is one of my best buy . It’s super cute , fully functional and super easy to use as well. I was skeptical to buy initially but I must say it didn’t disappoint me at all. I made these all red lentil+spinach waffles and it came out jus perfect . I used coconut oil spray for greasing which worked like a charm .

Waffle maker
Very small and a bit unstable on the counter, and no real instructions on how to use it and not a long enough cable, but it looks well-made, could have given a filling guide and maybe a basic recipe to get you started

Cute, compact, functional
Perfect little waffle machine- very easy to use and cooks nice fluffy waffles fairly quickly once at full temperature; probably about 5 minutes per waffle. I’ve not had any issues with them sticking; I use a little spray oil every few waffles; if the machine won’t open or it sticks that generally just means it’s not cooked yet. Not that practical for cooking for more than one, so you have to batch cook a few ahead of time, but could be easily used by a young teen or sensible tween! Each waffle only takes 1 tablespoon of batter and more tends to overflow- you can see that the waffles are quite small, about pancake size; not like the huge ones you might get at an ice cream parlour, but you just have a couple of them. They’re very comparable in size to American “eggo” waffles. They fit in the toaster to reheat. I’ve found the waffles freeze really well so I make up a batch, put them in the freezer and then as wanted put them- still frozen! Back in the waffle machine and they’re ready to eat very quickly. My only complaint is that the plates don’t come out for cleaning, which I think in time could lead to some build up as you can’t readily give them a really good soapy clean, especially annoying as it is quite easy to have your batter overflow when it expands during cooking

Great little gadget
Works well. I often waffle sweet potatoes and they didn’t stick too badly.

Great buy for reluctant eaters
Bought this to make protein waffles for my daughter, who is a very reluctant eater. This has been the biggest win! The waffles are really small, which is just perfect for her! She feels like she is having a little treaty snack while she is eating a well balanced breakfast. The waffles never get stuck. It says to preheat 3-5 minutes and they cook in a good amount of time. I usually just keep it running and make more while the kids eat. It can be a little bit stubborn to open. I just use an oven safe spatula, which works perfectly to help open it and remove the waffles. Highly recommend!

Cheap product, don’t even bother
I guess you get what you pay for. The cheapest material and it’s not non stick. Even if u spray it with oil you can’t get the waffle off of the grids due to the material. Absolute waste of money, don’t even bother just spend the extra money and get a better quality waffle maker
