BV Bicycle Pump Durable Bike Floor Pump 17/24 inch Smart Valve Head, 160 psi, Automatically Reversible Presta and Schrader

Cheapest pump with both the weird race bike and Schrader valves, even has a pressure guage. It's size isn't a problem. Fills up bike tires very quickly and easily. Could the plastic bits be nicer? Yes, but this is a 20$ product that does the advertised job well and doesn't fall apart.

Got this Bicycle pump for my grand son, who was trying to inflate his basketball using a worn out hand pump. He couldn’t get it to work so Papa let his fingers do the walking and ordered the BV Bicycle Pump from Amazon. Got it the next day, he went right to work pumping up his soccer ball, kickball, basketball, football and bicycle tires. He was a happy lil Man because the NEW pump worked great.

The pump works good, it was nice and smooth operation with good pressure. However the tip/needle that inflates sports and exercise balls broke on the first use. Replaced with a more robust needle and no more issues.

I got this pump based on many favorable reviews I read on here beforehand, and also because I needed a good pump for my bike tires. I've had countless fails with pumps, the last being the Black & Decker Air Station which was a disaster and lasted a few times before breaking, perhaps because of a blown fuse; I'll steer clear of the Black & Decker, and hope that this BV Pump withstands the test of time. I have another foot pump that sort of works, but it takes stupendous muscular action to get it to pump up my bike tires - and it doesn't have a p.s.i. meter like this pump either... This nice little yellow pump - I got the yellow because it's cheery and was a bit cheaper on Amazon than the silver at the time of purchase - worked splendidly at pumping my bike tires up to 55 p.s.i. with such little arm effort. The only effort comes from getting the nozzle to come off of your valve stem once you're done pumping your tire up. I've only used the Schrader side of the nozzle (no Presta side) which is a very snug fit, so be gentle and wiggle it off of there so it doesn't damage your hand when you're lifting up on it to take it off after first releasing the switch to the center position. It seems that when you move the switch back to the center, very little air escapes the tire, and you have a bit of time to then wiggle the snugly-fitting nozzle off of the valve stem. Before you pump, I recommend a rather firm right hand grip on the nozzle before you clamp it down onto your valve stem; you can use your left index finger and thumb to turn the switch/lever so the little arrow on the lever points not straight ahead, but to the tiny "S" marked on the nozzle - that locking of the switch to the tiny "S" (Schrader position) will lock the nozzle onto your valve stem so no air escapes during the pumping. The pumping is actually quite fun and quite easy and the psi meter is an outstanding helpful feature of this pump; I think mine reads just a bit low to the actual (i.e. when the meter reads 50 psi, there's actually more like 55 psi in my bike tire, but maybe that's just my meter...anyhow, it's fairly close to being accurate). I am so relieved I bought this pump, and that it works well! The price is fair, and I'll write an update review should there be anything "new" that comes up with my lovely yellow pump.

Works perfectly for bicycles and sports balls!

Straight out of the box, does it work. Amazing deal, however, it does feel cheap for how light it is, but the plastic seems sturdy and hence why I opt for this double foot base,so it can be stable for the higher psi of 100 that my roadbike requires to hit that 25mph or higher, consistent. If you notice, it has a red marker that you can manually set the psi, to. All you do is pop the grey plastic that comes with, for the gauge

I had an old metal Zefal bike pump for many years. It had only a Schrader-type adaptor and my bikes had a Presta valve. (If you don't know what these are, any pump might do). I was constantly losing the Presta adaptor for my old pump, but hated to part with it as there was nothing wrong (it has been "recycled" to use on wheelchair tires). This pump is exactly what I needed. It adapts to either type of stem. The unit is very sturdy, even though I was concerned as it was plastic and not metal. It has worked perfectly, is easy to pump, and has an indicator that you can set to the PSI you want. I do a lot of searching, particularly for online items as you can never be quite sure what you are getting. I find these types of reviews very helpful. I hope you do too.

Sehr gute, hochwertige Fahrradpumpe. Nutze sie hauptsächlich für mein Rennrad, dort sind die Reifen super schnell auf 5-6 bar ohne ewiges Pumpen. Der Druck kann auf dem Manometer gut abgelesen werden. Der Klemmhebel hält den Aufsatz auf dem Ventil, sodass man es nicht festhalten muss beim Pumpen. Gut sind auch die Klemmen für den Schlauch, in denen man den Schlauch nach der Benutzung einfach einklemmen kann und er so sauber verstaut ist und nicht in der Gegend umherfliegt. Nutze sie jetzt schon über 2 Jahre ohne Probleme.

I set out with the goal of spending less money on a simple bicycle pump, but never did feel comfortable with the reviews I was seeing for them. Of all the floor pumps I looked at this one, from both product description and reviews, appeared to have all the features I was looking for: quality construction, durability, and the ability to accommodate both valve types with a minimum of manipulation and attachments. Upon receipt I immediately put it to use on three bicycles that had been in storage for two years. I'm very pleased with the ease of use, including connection and disconnection to the valve and stroke capacity. Initial use is hardly a test of durability, but the pump feels very solid in operation, and I anticipate a long future of reliable use.
