Great water timer, even better support
Bought this a while back and honestly itโs been doing its job well. Setting it up was pretty straightforward โ the dial makes it easy to set your start time, how long it runs, and how often. Iโve got it running two zones separately which is nice since I can water the front and back yard on different schedules. The LCD screen shows you exactly when the next watering is, so no guessing. Been running it every morning at 6pm without issues. Had one problem where it stopped responding after a few months, reached out and a guy named Mark helped me get a replacement under warranty without any runaround. Didnโt expect it to be that painless honestly. The warranty actually holds up which is more than I can say for a lot of products at this price. Pretty solid buy overall.

Highly recommend, but get the brass version!
I have a few of these set up for different parts of my yard and they've been awesome. Super reliable and my grass looks great. Having the Wi-Fi feature is a nice bonus since I can check on things from my phone, though the manual controls on the unit are also really easy to use. If you buy one, definitely spend the extra couple of bucks to get the option with the brass couplings. It gives you a way tighter fit on the spigot and doesn't leak at all compared to the plastic ones. Just make sure to unhook it and bring it inside before the first winter freeze!

5 start customer service! They stand behind their product.
We've got 12 raised beds, and keeping them all watered consistently was a real challenge before I found a system that worked. Hand watering 12 beds every day in the summer is not exactly relaxing, and I was constantly worried about underwatering when life got busy. That's what led me to the Rainpoint 2-zone sprinkler timer connected to a drip irrigation setup. I did a lot of research before committing, and honestly the price point made it feel like a low-risk experiment. I ran drip lines to all 12 beds, set up a schedule, and it just... worked. My tomatoes and peppers especially seemed to love the consistent, deep watering. The timer is very easy to use and the UI is clear and to the point. For everyone else talking about how it's hard to program, they aren't reading the instructions. It has a HUGE dial and is very straightforward. Set the duration, set the occurrence, set the zone, done. Then, about a year in, I noticed one of the zone outlets had developed a leak. I'll be honest, my heart sank a little. I was wrong to worry. RainPoint customer service got back to me almost immediately, no runaround, no interrogation about how I'd installed it or whether I'd voided some obscure warranty clause. They just asked for my info and shipped me a brand new replacement unit. The whole thing was painless. It's genuinely rare to find a company that stands behind their product like that, especially at this price point. A lot of brands in the garden gadget space feel like they're designed to last just long enough to clear the return window. Rainpoint actually made me feel like a valued customer rather than a problem to be managed. I've already been talking it up in my local gardening group, and I'll keep doing so. I'll report back on the long-term durability of the replacement, but if the customer service is any indication of how this company operates, I'm feeling good about it. Here's to another season of happy tomatoes. Note: As another reviewer mentioned, you must uninstall when the temperature drops below freezing. Even if you clear it - there's still likely going to be a bit of water in the device that could freeze and break the unit.

Worked great while it lasted
It worked great the first year. Second year the valves no longer shut this leaving my garden running the water non stop unless I intervene. I ran tests for two weeks and could not get it to function as it used to last year. Going to buy a different one. Update 6/17. The seller reached out to me offering me several options to help resolve rhis. I did enjoy the timer when it was working and feel this level of support is great. Updating my stars.

These have been great!
Second Rainpoint timer I've bought to attach to another faucet. At risk of jinxing myself, these have been great. Easy to program, works as programmed, and easy on the batteries. I'd go with brass vs. plastic connections. Reasonable value for the price.

Sunblock should be applied
As my device works well and everything seems to be in order I would like to suggest that a sun screen, shield or blocker be created. Mine is exposed to direct sunlight for a good portion of the day and I know for sure this will have a degenerative effect on the life of the device. Reading someone else's post regarding this they used a towel to cover it up and block the sun which is what I also resorted to so the device doesn't get baked by the hot Arkansas summer sun. Update 1 July 2026: Items crapped out and will not turn off. This was used minimally and died after only one month...buyer beware.

Great Product. Waters 2 zones of the garden.
Works GREAT! I would suggest programming it before attaching it to the faucet. Trust me. I did place it into a plastic bag & Gorilla Taped over the battery cover to protect from rain failure. I did purchase a single unit after setting this one up. If another is needed it will be one of theirs.

Great timer for short term uses
It's reliable and does what it's supposed to. It's fairly user friendly. The display for me was easy to read...took a few tries setting it up for temp use. Think theres 2-AA's that power it; howere, they don't last long if you don't shut it off.

Fully program two separate zones with unique watering schedules
RAINPOINT 2-Zone Sprinkler Timer: This timer is perfect for watering two different areas of your yard. Whether youโre watering lawns that have one section in the sun, with the other section in the shade, or if you wish to water your lawn and garden independently, this 2-zone timer gives you the power to control each zoneโs watering amount and frequency independently. There are two sets of instructions included in the box. A quick start guide and a full instruction book. Both offer excellent instructions with pictures, making the setup and operation easy. This sprinkler controller has a large display screen, so itโs easy to see your settings. As you rotate the knob to switch settings, the screen displays the required info, so itโs very easy to follow along and program. Once you set the timerโs clock, you can then program each zone, to turn the water on at a set time, with a set frequency and for a certain amount of time. Both zones can run together, or at different times. This way, you can tailor your watering schedule to the needs of each zone without overwatering. If after youโve set everything up and you find each zone is getting too much or not enough water, you can easily go back through the settings and make adjustments. You can increase or decrease the watering time and or interval, to fine tune your watering to your yardโs needs. There is also a delay button, so you can pause a watering session on either or both zones, if it happens to be raining. You can also manually turn on either or both zones, if you wish to add extra watering for whatever reason. The timer will then resume itโs normal programming after you rotate the knob to off to stop the manual watering cycle, then back to on, so it will be ready for the next programmed setting. This sprinkler controller has brass fittings on both ends for better connections to your hoses. It comes with a rubber washer with a screen filter for a secure, leak-free connection to your tap. They even include a spare filter washer plus Teflon tape, for drip-free connections. The hoses both thread easily on to each male connection and can also be removed easily. This sprinkler timer is waterproof, so itโs designed to be left outdoors. You can mount it wherever it is convenient for you, either from the tap, or where your two zones split off, if you run a hose from your tap. This is a solid, well made device, that can completely turn the water off when the watering session ends. It wonโt waste any of your water by dripping when it should be off. Then, when a watering session begins, this device will turn on either or both zones fully (as programmed by you), with an internal click that opens each valve via battery power. Batteries are not included, so youโll need to provide two AA batteries for this device to work. If your yard has areas that have different watering needs, this 2-zone controller is ideal for you. Once you setup your hoses and program the timers, youโll never have to worry about remembering to water your lawn and/or garden again.

I'm Impressed!
I'm quite happy with this item so far! We have one outdoor tap that needs to service both our front and back yards. This device allows us to have one hose going each direction AND have a timer that will accommodate each! Setup of the timer was really intuitive and although there are instructions provided, they weren't really needed for most of the process. The need for two AA batteries (not included) was a bit of a surprise as the product description is lacking, but I had batteries so it was not a big deal. The battery compartment seems quite protected from moisture. Connection to the water supply and hoses was simple, even with our quick connect attachments, but as others have mentioned, there is a lot of plastic. I do fear that the timer body won't handle much wear and tear before one of the necks becomes damaged. Overall, I'm happy with my order and look forward to consistent watering this summer thanks to the help of this device!

Works well and seems reliable
I am really happy with this RAINPOINT 2 zone sprinkler timer and it has made managing my irrigation setup so much easier. I am using it specifically to split and control two lines of soaker hoses for my berry plants, and it has been working exactly the way I needed. Being able to run two separate zones is a big help because I can water different rows independently without having to manually switch hoses around all the time. The setup was straightforward and it connected easily to my hose system and splitter. Once installed, it felt solid and secure on the spigot with no leaks or loose fittings. The controls are simple to understand, and setting separate schedules for each zone is very convenient. I like that I can adjust watering times depending on how each section of my berry plants is doing, especially since different areas sometimes need more or less water. In daily use it has been reliable and consistent. It opens and closes on schedule without me having to check on it, which gives me a lot more freedom during the day. It also works well with soaker hoses since it delivers steady flow without needing constant attention. The manual and rain delay features are useful when the weather changes suddenly, so I do not end up overwatering. The build quality feels durable and suitable for outdoor use, even with regular exposure to sun and moisture. The brass connections give me confidence that it will hold up over time. Battery powered operation is simple and makes it easy to install anywhere without extra wiring.

Very Impressive Water Timer
I really like this water timer from RAINPOINT as it is so intuitive to use and it works great as well. The timer comes with some teflon tape and a spare filter with a washer. Two manuals are included, a quick start guide and a more in-depth manual. Two AA batteries are required for this timer to work and unfortunately they are not included. This timer is pretty versatile and I can set it to water as short as every hour to every 7 days and I can water for as short as 1 minute to 3 hours and 59 minutes. The timer has smart programming, for example, if I set the timer to start every two hours then I can only set the "How Long" setting to under 2 hours. The timer does make a noticeable snap when turning on and off and/or switching between the two zones. When the timer is "ON", the current time is displayed followed by the status of zone 1 and zone 2. If the water is not running, the status of zone 1 and 2 shows at what time they will start. If water is running for zone 1, the status shows how much longer the water will run for zone 1 followed by when zone 2 will start. The timer is always providing real time information that I can see within 10 seconds. The delay option is neat. Pressing and holding the delay button gives me three options to select from: 24, 48 or 72 hours. When selected, the time is no longer shown on the display but the countdown in hours and minutes before the timer will start up again. Pressing and holding the delay button a 2nd time, terminates the delay mode. The timer does not turn off the display when in the 'Off' position so the batteries are always in play. I did try fully charged Ni-MH batteries in this timer and they do work but since they start at 1.2 volts, the timer shows them as low and must be replaced. If the batteries get too low, the timer will shut off and my programming will be lost but RAINPOINT has included a super feature within this timer. Before the batteries are completely dead, I can remove the batteries from the timer and insert new ones without losing my program and the set time. From my tests, I must get the new batteries inserted within 55 seconds. The only thing that I do not like with this timer is there is no 'Stop Time'. I plan to reseed my front yard this spring and since it is very important to keep the seed damp for germination, I would need to turn on the water every 2 hours or so for about 10 minutes. I normally do this between 9 AM and 5 PM when the sun is the hottest for 7 to 14 days. It turns out this timer can do this task great but since there is no stop time, the timer will continue to water at 7PM, 9PM and 11PM. I will need to go out and turn the dial to Off after the 5PM watering and back on in the morning before 9AM which is not that bad as the timer takes care of the rest of the day. Overall, a super timer that will save me loads of time this spring.
