These pot of 2 Kaffir lime tree starter plants will produce Citrus hystrix (makrut lime) fruit in approximately 2 years depending on the climate where you live. Each tree measures approximately 3โ - 5" from top of soil to the highest leaf. They can vary in size, but are quick growing, so even a smaller plant will be considerably larger in a couple of weeks. It can be planted outside if you live in a warm, arid climate, a greenhouse, or indoors with appropriate UV sunlight bulbs, if you live in a colder climate, such as our beautiful Maine. These hardy trees will adapt to any surroundings. The makrut lime fruit is native to tropical Southeast Asia and Southern China. Its fruit and leaves are used in Southeast Asian cuisine, and its essential oil is used in perfumery. Its rind and crushed leaves emit an intense citrus fragrance. These Southeast Asian tropical fruit trees are proudly grown in Bangor, Maine. Each plant is wrapped in bubble wrap, to protect against damage in transit. Lovely Specimen Shipped Perfectly
Starter plants for the Kaffir Lime Tree arrived with a healthy and beautiful appearance, were a good 4" size, nicely packaged, on time, and with clear instructions. I've wanted my own tree for years as I usually buy the leaves from local Asian markets, but sometimes fresh leaves aren't available and you have to buy the them frozen, or dried and adjust your recipe accordingly. When possible, fresh is best so I'm happy to finally have my own tree! Looking forward to growing this in my yard. Good value for the money (hard to find), arrived with new leaves blooming, and soil & plant smell fresh. Thank you to this seller! I recommend.

Arrived healthy and is going strong
Healthy seedlings. There were actually two in the little grow pot. Iโve separated them after about two months of further growth and gave one to a friend. It will take a couple of years before this little seedling will become the tree it is destined to be, so donโt count on harvesting leaves from it anytime soon. Putting it under grow lights will help. I can wait. This lovely little plant makes me happy.

ALIVE BUT NOT GROWING
I bought this plant about 8 months ago. It is still the same height as it was when it arrived. It has not died but still 4 inches high...not growing at all. Is this because of the type of growth hormone that was used?

So far, so good
I've had these for a while now, and so far they seem to be doing well. I just re-potted them into a larger pot to give them room to grow, and now I'm hoping they'll survive the transplanting. This was supposed to be two plants, but I got three. One is a little less robust than the other two, but they're all still alive. I also got some seeds and followed instructions to plant them. I know it takes a while - not long ago I planted some regular lemon seeds and it took quite a long time for them to germinate. So I'm being patient. If they grow, that's a huge bonus. If not, I'm not going to be too upset, since I got more than I paid for with the extra plant.

Healthy plants!
The plants look perfect! They are 3-5 inches tall, come with instructions, and seem very healthy! The best part is i got 3 of them!

Delicate Plant
I received 3 Kaffir (Makrut) trees instead of the advertised 2 to a pot. After separating two of them, only one of the separated trees survived of the three. They seem to be quite delicate plants but the surviving one is doing optimistically well. The bonus two seeds included never germinated.

Kaffir lime tree for Thai food seasoning.
Second time I bought these plants. The first one died because I let it get too cold. So try again. Second is now 8 months old. Placed seedlings (2) outside in partial sunny area with temps 80-95 degrees in summer and fall. One seedling died. Kept it warm indoors this winter with a 300 watt growth lite. Now spring is here, and putting it back in partial sunny location. My tip is to water it often but sparingly. Over-watering will quickly make dead spots in the leaves, even when the tree is months old. Treat the soil with a fungicide when you transplant the seedlings to a bigger pot. I think the over-watering spots might be due to too much fungus in the seedling soil. It's a common problem in greenhouse grown plants. Also, don't give it too much sun. About 4 hrs of direct sunlight seems best here in Texas. Maybe more further north.
