Easy to set-up and Reliable
I have been using my switchbot mini hub and thermometer hydrometers for about 3 weeks and I have to say I am impressed.I have found the system very easy to set-up and link to my wifi and the app and the meters and hub work seamlessly with my Alexa. The system has been amazing for keeping an eye on temperatures and humidity levels around my property. This is by far the best system I have used so far for ease of use, connectivity and reliabilty. The app seems to work well with no glitches and is easy to install, link to devices and use on the go.On the whole I would highly recommend this product and switchbot, and I would definately consider using other products made by this company for their quality and reliabilty.I would also like to mention Switchbot's excellent customer service and after sales communication.

Easy to setup with R-Pi for reliable, fairly accurate long term data logging.
Maybe I'm just lucky but the one I've received is working perfectly.Once I've got it, I compared the temp/humidity values it provided with 2 different Govee sensors and another no name one. They were all within 0.4–0.8°C each other at outside temp. around 17°C and 26°C. Humidity was a bit more different but that is Ok. This is good enough for me. I was not expecting (and need) 0.1–0.2°C resolution and accuracy. For that kind of accuracy you'll need to invest into something more substantial.I'm also not using it the "normal" way. I've built a small R-Pi weather station with the Enviro+ board and I'm using the Switchbot as a reference data source connected via Bluetooth and also correlating it with Open Weather Map's API.It has been working perfectly outdoors for a month and a half now and the battery has yet to drop from 100%. Note, The Bluetooth connection is only use once in every 15 minutes. I can imagine that if you are constantly monitoring it, that will keep the Bluetooth connection alive, in turn it will drain the battery much faster. Wireless communication, including Bluetooth requires a fair amount of power.I also use my phone occasionally which connects from about 4 meters from behind a brick wall without issues. So, all in all I'm very happy with it and will order another one for a different project soon.

Seem very good for the price
The first pack of three I ordered seemed OK BUT one of them was over reading the temperature by 20 degrees! A bit too much to calibrate out!Obviously they have been returned for a refund and I decided to take a punt on another set which arrived today. These are very good and having let them settle for 20 minutes or so on my window sill all three are matched within 0.1 degree C and 1% RH.They are very easy to setup, the case is compact and looks well made, from decent plastic, and they can be used free standing, attached via the supplied 3M adhesive pad or hung up using the supplied lanyard.Early days yet, I have not checked how far away from your phone you can get reliable readings, possibly not that far as they use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) profile but I will try that out shortly as I hope to use one of the sensors in the greenhouse.Overall very impressive as I was particularly interested in a device which shows the calculated dew point which these do along with loads of other information which can be in graph format apparently for the last 68 days chosen from a calendar - might have to wait for it to download from the sensor for a while? The only cons are that I did get a faulty product first time around and you have to load the "SwitchBot" app on your phone, from the Playstore, to actually use them although the app is very well implemented. This now means I have four different apps to cover these and various other devices although the majority of my devices use the TP-Link Tapo app (I was trying to standardise). It would be nice if the manufacturers got together and produced a common app for these things similar to Google Home, but hopefully much better as I find that to be very poor!Of course these devices CAN "talk" to Google BUT only if you purchase their Hub at considerable extra cost. The listing specifies that the Hub uses WiFi but I assume that is only for the Hub - Router connection whilst the Hub talks to the sensors via BLE? Depends how much value you place on being able to ask the question "Hey Google, what's the temperature in the greenhouse?" For me just tapping a couple of icons on my phone screen is easier (and silent) especially if Mr Google is in one of his obtuse modes today! The icing on the cake - when I got around to re-ordering this set the price had dropped by about £7!p.s. As I am typing this temperature variation between the sensors is now 0.3 degrees but they are still within very reasonable limits and in agreement with various other devices I have here.

Cheap and good, with excellent build quality. Withstands bad weather
I have tried a few Bluetooth weather devices, and this Switchbot is the cheapest and best.Physically, its advantages over similar devices are that it uses standard batteries (2xAAA, supplied) rather than a semi-randomly chosen button battery, and that it is visibly waterproof - it is a smooth white plastic box and the battery compartment lid has a seal round it. Also, the nylon hanging loop is as new after 18 months outside and is far better than a hole in the back meant to go over a hook or a nail.I was surprised, for such a cheap device, to find that it supports firmware updates, as there was a notification in the app on the first Bluetooth LE connection. It updated in a couple of minutes from 0.4 to 0.5 - an odd version number for a released product - and, as is almost always the case now, there was nothing stating what the update fixed or improved. But the facility is important. In fact, there were four firmware updates in the first three months and the current version is 0.9, although there has not been a further update for over a year. The app is also updated every few weeks, and there is the option to try out beta versions. The Bluetooth signal is evidently good, and not entirely line of sight - I can transfer data into the app from a room about 60 feet away with the device slightly hidden round a corner of the house.Caching is well implemented and only new readings are transferred unless you explicitly clear the cache from within the app; this greatly speeds up everything as the device quickly accumulates thousands of readings. When I got a new phone it took 20 minutes to transfer all the readings. Its accuracy is better than that of my old Bresser weather station, which cost several times as much but badly underestimated temperatures. Here the quoted accuracy (+ or -0.2C) is, in itself, accurate in my experience.Another Switchbot advantage, although it gets oddly low ratings in Google Play, is the app. It looks good unlike many similar apps, is simple to set up and use, and data export is easy - select a date range and readings are exported to a comma separated values file in a defined time step. Exporting a reading every minute gives a huge 1.7MB/month file, but exporting a reading every half hour amounts to 50KB/month.I can produce graphs very easily from the exported file - the big graph follows an import into Excel 2024 LTSC with no further changes to one of the standard charting types other than to colours and the other two graphs show what the app can display itself. The battery level remained at 100% for a long time and is 58% after 18 months so, if the app is reporting the level accurately, the (standard alkaline) batteries will probably last for longer than the two years advertised. The Switchbot is an excellent data gatherer. If it could record barometric pressure as well as temperature and humidity, it would replace everything weather-related here. I use a second (ancient) Android phone to provide a semi-permanent display.A minor issue is that the instructions state that the temperature sensor is good to -20C, but the device is recommended only to be used at 5C or greater. It has been down to -6C, with whole days below 5C, and I have noted two missed readings in over a year, which were both when the temperature was well above 0C.Most impressive was that I discovered a bug when exporting. I raised a ticket in the app; there was a comment back about three days later that it was being "escalated to senior technical staff", then after six days there was a fix available in Google Play! That speed of response is otherwise unheard of in my experience, where technical comments are often not even acknowledged. As I had two other weather stations fail during the bad weather (huge temperature and humidity fluctuations) in January 2026, I extended my "Switchbot estate" as the good build quality mentioned in the second paragraph matters ... a lot. This device was the only survivor.£15 (£11 with a coupon) is an absolute steal for something which would have cost many times that a few years ago for the same functionality and would certainly have been less robust and less easy to use.

A wireless temperature/humidity data logger. Exactly what I was looking for.
What I was looking for was a wireless temperature data logger to capture the temperature in my house in the Hall and also the corresponding temperature outside with a reasonably high sample rate 24x7. This was so that I could see the rate of heat loss from the house when the space heating is off and also the effectiveness of the space heating when on. I bought 2 of these sensors and placed one indoors adjacent to the Hall thermostat and another outside on the roof fascia board. They come with batteries fitted that are said the last for up to 2 yr and are waterproof for use internally or externally. The devices use bluetooth to transmit data from the sensor to a Switchbot phone app. The phone app is easy to download from Google Play or Apple Store and shows instantaneous temperature and relative humidity, and dew point as well as continuous time history plots of temperature versus time with a sample rate of about 15 minutes. The sensors come with clear instructions and are every easy to pair with the app via bluetooth and initially the use may find that the temperature and humidity readings appear high but the device has a self calibration mode on start-up and soon moderates to an accurate reading. In my case, the temperature took less than half an hour to coincide with the reading on my Hall thermostat. From there on the readings have been very reliable and the temperature time histories show the rise when the space heating comes on according to the time clock and Hall thermostat controls and the rate of decline when it goes off. The app also gives max and min temperature over the selected time period of day/week/month/year and the average. Recordings continue until you choose to reset the sensor in the app effectively to start afresh. You can also download the data for your own records. Correspondingly, the sensor/app records and displays relative humidity as a time series etc all exactly as for temperature. In summary, this is an excellent wireless sensor that does exactly what I was looking for. Anyone who wishes to data capture temperature and/or relative humidity 24x7 and view the time histories of these parameters graphically on a phone or tablet with the data transmitted from the sensor to the phone/tablet wirelessly over bluetooth should look at this device. They are good value for money.

Excellent product
I love this, it’s easy to set up, I use mine in an outside solar inverter and battery housing. It’s a IP65 rated so it’s ideal for where I want it. It gives accurate readings and it’s easy to read. The app is also easy to use and gives lots of information. I’d definitely buy again.

Very useful temperature readout device.
Compact unit which we bought for our greenhouse. It works on Bluetooth. Customer service was very helpful and we got the Bot connected up to the App with little difficulty. The App allows us to read greenhouse temperature easily and accurately. Thanks

works well
The thermometers are working well so far. I'm using them to decide when to open and close windows to cool down the house or avoid heat coming in.Set up went fine. I have not had them long, so it is probably too early to judge whether they are weatherproof, but I like the fact that they are IP65, whereas other outdoor meters seem to be less clear about the level of weatherproofing.Readings seem accurate, as far as I can tell from other devices. My only problem is that the app sometimes does not seem to pick up any readings from them, even if I am standing right next to them. I have to close the app and reopen it, which seems to reinstate communication.Update: the problem with failing to pick up readings appears to be fixed if you add a Hub mini. I was fortunate to be given one by Switchbot in return for a feedback interview with their customer services, and it certainly improves the functionality of the thermometers. The app now instantly tells me the readings for each meter, regardless of where I am. I’m not sure I would be so happy if I had had to pay another £30 to achieve this.

Handige Stand Alone thermometer

Funzionano benissimo
