Old VGA monitor shows perfect picture when driven from DisplayPort.

Build quality is not that bad, My only issue is the quality on the DVI end. Yes, its an Amazonbasics brand but I'm sure it wouldn't cost that much more to invest in developing a much more sturdy end particularly with the screws which were a bit of a bother initially. Apart from that, the picture quality was okay, nothing much more than expected for that price.

As with the majority of Amazon Basic products, this product hits a great balance between quality and value. I imagine it will last longer than both my PC and monitor. It feels reassuringly solid. Easy to set up, I simply plugged it in and it just worked. I would buy again and happily recommend this product.

It works, but the digital video head is quite long and barely fits into my pretty standard monitor, I could slide it in only at an angle. Comparing side-by-side to another Amazon basic, DVid-HDMI cable ending that has a shorter head and easier to fit into a tight space.

"IT JUST WORKS" if you lack DVI ports but have a few Displayports (you know the HDMIish ports with a square end,) Just get these cables to convert them, However, if you have VGA monitors you'll need an ACTIVE DP converter cable mini-dp or otherwise. my old GPU had Mini DP ports this one lacks the 2nd DVI port but has 2 DP and 2 HDMI so if you're using old-school DVI monitors these cables work fine. 3m length is enough for the Monitor set up i use as all 3 monitors are mounted above eye level and all go pretty neetly in to the GPU with slack to spare.

Was previously using a VGA cable with an old business class hp + new HD monitor. The image particularly text was not as defined as I would expect. Aside from VGA there was no common interface but the PC did support displayport and the Monitor DVI. So gave this cable a try. Glad I did. Text is much more crisp and the overall image much clearer. Very pleased with the result.
