Great for the solo camper/hiker
Son loves it and that is all that matters! A bit more $$ than I was wanting to spend, so hoping it is worth it in the long run. We are hoping he will take it out soon and give it a "live trial" for camping, hiking and back country hunting in the Montana and Colorado mountains. He says it will definitely be more comfortable than a "cheaper" hammock. Weight is a little more then he was expecting which throws off his pack weight. Unsure of the durability at this time, hoping it lasts awhile. Assembly was ok, a bit awkward but maybe once he gets more used to it and comes up with what works best for him, it will get easier and fast. It is a tent, ultimately, so warmth is not an "option" but he has a great light weight, deep freeze bag so should be good to go. LOVES the under storage, however, we have excessive bear counts near us, so stringing up is 1st line of avoidance and non-edible storage underneath.

Great product and company
Great product. Almost sleeps flat when hanging, super comfy, and set up time is less than 10 mins once you get the hang of it. The company is fantastic! First night using it I entered the wrong way and flipped it, causing the rain flap to tear. I couldn't find a replacement and emailed the company. Within 3 days they replied and are sending me a replacement rain flap for free! Couldn't be more happy with this purchase.

Comfortable tent
Great product, material quality is excellent, very comfortable I'm 5'9" 200lbs muscular build, I had plenty of space it felt sturdy good wind and water protection. I did have a problem keeping it balanced, it had a tendency to lean to the side I got in from. The set up is not straight forward, I attempted it at night but had to quit and use another tent as the set up can get complicated if it's your first time setting it up. I had my 50lb dog in the tent with me, I don't recommend that since it did get crowded 😅 with him but the hammock tent held up fine.

Company reached out to make sure I was happy.
Very nice hammock but doesn’t hold up to the weight. I’m 5’8” 170 and mine broke. The pull tight clamps break and you go down. I’ve replaced with ratchet straps now it’s better. But they need heavier duty clamps to hold straps. I’m adding to this review and changing to 5 stars because after review they reached out and offered me a new hammock. Best hammock you can find and a great company. Who want happy customers.

Cool but complicated
Decent materials and design. It requires a very specific formation of trees to work well. If you roll in your sleep, you’ll likely roll into one of the sides as it will tilt even if it doesn’t flip completely.

Can be tricky to set up.
I've used this about 3 times now and it's kind of hard to get set app to where it doesn't feel like you're gonna fall out of it if you can double wrap the supporting straps around the tree base. It really helps also if the trees are wide that really helps with stability. It's very comfortable to land I use a climate V-2. Sleeping Pad inside so comfy. it's perfect size For me i'm 6'1 about a hundred and eighty five pounds. I got this because I didn't want a traditional style hammock. Because it seems kind of awkward to land and I see a lot of complaints of being shaped like a banana. But this seems to be perfect for me. It is a bit heavy for backpacking. But I do mostly car camping so it's not really a problem. The package size is very small. It's actually smaller than my sleeping bag. Packed up, there is only one con that I can think of and it's the rainfly. It's extremely flappy and it doesn't seem to like be very tight around the top of the hammock, but it seems well made. The bottom is very heavy duty. I did get caught in a few very heavy thunderstorms. And I did not have any issue with getting wet inside the only moisture that I had Inside seems to be from either the condensation from breathing or something. But the top gets very wet. But I was camping in really cool conditions around 40° at night. I didn't get to see how well the bug net works. Because there was no bugs because it was so cold. But definitely an awesome little tent hammock thingy I really enjoy it

Very Nice and Great Customer Support!
I've slept 2 nights in an absolute downpour of storms and stayed bone dry. I paired this with a lightweight foot inflate mattress and was just right. Was a bit tricky the first time setting up. That's why I did a practice setup in my yard before taking out for real. I figured out you need about 12 to 13ft between trees. The trees are better if they are smaller, say 8 to 16 inch diameter because it helps to double wrap the tree with the straps and if it is too fat of a tree "especially at the base" for the lower straps you lose the length you need to get back to your strap clamps that allow you to tighten the bottom making it lay flat - meaning your ends might not reach. I strap the top strap about 5ft off the ground. I did have a seam on the bug net that came loose or missed getting sewed good. Also, had one small tear near the zipper flap on the rain guard. Emailed tech support and they sent me a whole new unit quickly. Very happy with this hammock tent!

Definitely not worth the money. Flips very easily despite the strapping.
Purchased end of March , finally had a chance to use the thing recently. Past my return window, bummer for sure. Terrible experience. Pretty much the worse hammock camping ever. I’ve hammock camped for years, using similar camping style hammocks. I was excited to try this out and even used additional corner tie downs to keep it from being so unstable.. experiences from other “lay flat” versions suggested that better safe then flipped over. The set up is easy enough. Like most hammocks, it goes up in a matter of minutes. Just getting it “level” takes a little extra. That’s were the positives end. Laying in the hammock when it’s empty, it’s ok. Once you get a sleeping bag and pillow in, all bets off. Even with the corners tied down at angles to keep stability, as soon as I tried to slide over on my side to get into the sleeping bag, over I went. First time ever I’ve flipped in a hammock. Pulled the stakes right out of the ground it spun so quick. I had all the tree straps positioned correctly, pulled tight and as noted extra corner tie downs. Nothing worked. I’m 5’9, 155lbs. Not even pushing the “limits” of what it should take. Suppose I’m off to try the Haven brand next. Expensive but seems to be the only real lay flat option that appears stable. I would not purchase this product again nor recommend to anyone. I have other NightCat products that I’ve enjoyed. This is definitely not a winner. Disappointed for sure as it’s very sharp looking. And I can attest that the screen netting is quite tough as I was laying and standing on it after it flipped. Pass on this for sure.

All doubts vanished after first use. Great bit of kit.
I’m 6’5, 130kg. I set this up on uneven trees that weren’t particularly thick and with some focused adjusting of straps I felt very safe and comfortable to move around in the night cat. The mesh is excellent at mosquito proofing, the rain fly survived the hose test with fitting colours. I’m going to buy a tent fan to hang on the interior hooks as it gets a bit stuffy with the rain fly on but that is to be expected. It is stronger than I imagined, I fit in it quite well. It packs down into nothing, just an excellent design. I don’t think I’ll go back to ground camping unless I absolutely have to. This is the first time I’ve felt comfy sleeping while camping in Australia.

One of my favorite purchases of all time
I have friends who told me about using hammock tents but I wasn't thrilled by the idea of having sway-back all night trying to sleep. Then I found this. I've slept in this roughly 30 nights by now and I sing its praises to anyone who will listen. Everyone who sees it is enthralled by it and I love to show it off and explain it to people. It packs up small enough that it fits in the saddle bag of my motorcycle or I bring it in my pack on canoe trips. It takes a bit of time to set up and tear down, mostly just ensuring everything fits nicely into the bag, and it's a bit of a learning curve to get a consistent setup. There are ways to ensure it feels more stable. I actually bought and added two additional straps that I can daisy-chain onto the included lower straps so I can a) put it between trees that are further apart and b) do a full wrap of each tree - this provides greater stability. I'm 6'4" and 250lbs and the tent supports me well. The gear channel below the tent is brilliant, keeps everything off the ground and dry and it holds a lot. It has a ring inside that you can hang your lamp from if you're reading. It's stable and easy to get in and out of for me. The fly keeps it dry but it could use a bit better of a design to accommodate non-ideal set-ups. If the top straps are on too great of an upward angle or the trees are close together, you can't get the fly taught enough. The support bars that make it lay-flat are showing signs of permanent curvature but I'm not concerned about failure. I put a thin inflatable mattress pad in it under my sleeping bag which provides good insulation. I wake up in the morning feeling like I just slept in my bed. You can sleep on your back or either side...no stomach sleeping though. Love, love, love this tent. Highly recommended.

An AMAZING hammock tent!
I’ve had a chance to field test this a few times, and I have no complaints. It’s very well put together and comes with everything you need. The only thing I had an issue with was the tension on the stability straps, but that was on the first use. I now know to tighten them much more. Everything about this product is amazing. It’s not just a hammock, it’s a bivouac off the ground! The zippers are a great quality, the hammock is roomy, comfortable and has places to hang things (hooks at either end) and store things (interior pockets). And if that wasn’t enough, the added storage below the hammock will accommodate all your bigger items. I had my pack, tool, fishing rod and tackle box in it, and had room for more. I wish it had a compartment to throw a mat or other such thing in, as it does get cold fast, but it’s not a dealbreaker. I now use a smaller down filled bag, with a heftier down filled bag on top, and that is ample warmth. I say this as a resident of Northern Canada. Coldest night in it so far was 4degrees Celsius, and I was toasty. I can’t recommend this highly enough!
