Research first - understand the results within the correct context.
UPDATE 16-May-2018: We had my husband do this test so we could compare results. We call him the dog with hands because the man can eat everything in sight without issue. Sure enough, his test results show almost no reactivity to foods - just yogurt, which we knew about. I have major food issues - GERD, gluten intolerance, IC, IBS, migraines, and allergies. My test results show significant reactivity to a broad range of foods - and these are foods we knew I had issues with. I am convinced this test is pretty legit. PREVIOUS REVIEW: This test won’t confirm lactose intolerance nor celiac disease. All it does is show IgG reactive levels - antibodies. The medical community is divided over what this means for food tolerance. Humans develop antibodies as protection against foreign substances like viruses. If you have had chicken pox, you have antibodies against chicken pox. This doesn’t guarantee that you won’t get chicken pox, but it definitely reduces your chances significantly. But does having chicken pox antibodies make you willing to eat the chicken pox virus? Well, food is no different. There are foods our bodies believe are harmful foreign agents and so our bodies build up antibodies to protect us from them. Does the presence of the antibodies mean you are now safe to enjoy those foods? This is where the medical community is divided. NIH has published results of a study that shows elimating IgG-reactive foods reduces migraines. Here is what I can tell you - wheat and gluten are on my reactive IgG list. I eliminated both and I went from near-daily migraines to about 3 per month. IgG antibodies trigger an inflammatory response. That response will manifest in different human bodies in different ways. Migraines in some, brain fog or joint pain in others. Maybe lethargy, fatigue, insomnia, etc., it all depends on how the inflammatory response occurs. This test is only going to tell you your IgG reactivity to foods. It won’t tell you how that reactivity in you manifests. Maybe it doesn’t. Or maybe it’s the source of that mystery joint pain you are having. The human body is a complex ecosystem. No two bodies react exactly the same because we all have different gut bacteria, diets, genetics, medications, etc. Each of these things contributes to your unique chemistry. How these IgG-reactive foods impact your chemistry really can only be determined through an elimination diet and then reintroduction of one IgG-reactive food at a time so you can see how your body reacts to it. All this test will do is narrow down a possible list of foods based on IgG reactivity only. Celiac disease and lactose intolerance are two examples of food issues that this test will NOT reveal. Food intolerance has several possible causes - IgG just being one among many - and there are likely many more that we aren’t even aware of yet. So don’t put all of your eggs in one basket, so to speak. This test is just one piece of your body’s ecological mystery puzzle.

Was skeptical at first but results were spot-on and I’m now living a better life
Was a bit skeptical about the accuracy about this test but was experiencing a lot of gastrointestinal issues that my doctors couldn’t really identify so out of desperation and a last-ditch effort I ordered the Everlywell. My highest reactivity results were for lactose and gluten (which I kind of suspected prior to testing). After the test seemed to confirm my suspicions I cut out as much lactose and gluten (and a few other reactive foods) as possible from my daily diet and the results have been life changing. I had assumed that many of my gastrointestinal issues (which increased throughout the years) were simply a part of aging. I thought that’s just how my life was going to be now. Apparently I was damaging my gut on a daily basis and once I altered my diet according to the test results there was immediate and lasting improvement. I used to always feel my gut in some way. It felt heavy and thick. Not just after eating but overall, there was always a nagging feeling of something in there being “off.” (And that’s not to mention all the bouts of bloating, diarrhea, pain, etc) Since taking this test and making adjustments, that’s ALL gone. I’m in my late 40s and haven’t felt this good since I was in my 20s, when I could eat whatever I want and never suffer any consequences. I cannot stress enough how much my quality of life and overall comfortability have increased. It’s wonderful and only wish I’d made these changes sooner. My mother has celiac and one of my closest friends is vegan, so I had folks to turn to for advice about gluten and lactose free alternatives. There are many options these days, ones that won’t leave you missing gluten or lactose at all. They are a bit more expensive and the calorie/carbohydrate content can be a bit higher, but overall the change is worth it. Very happy I pulled the trigger and ordered this test. The process was simple and the results were ready within days. If you take the test and adjust your diet according to your results you should hopefully feel an immediate improvement!

Has helped me with Psorasis.
Psoriasis. Bad skin. I’ve had it all. I’ve also tried every type of lotion, foam, injection, etc. In fact, the break through injection that weakens the immune system in an effort to suppress Psorasis made mine flare up. It didn’t make any sense. I took this blood test and found out I have an immune reaction to yeast - which apparently was in just about everything I ate regularly, my whole life. So I had a yeast build up that was flaring even more with the injections because my immune system had an even harder time fighting off the yeast, likely growing in my gut. Two weeks into taking the yeast out of my diet, my skin has started to clear significantly. I think at the 30 day mark (how long it takes your body to break down foods remaining in your body) I will see the best skin I have in years. So I am very grateful for this test. I do believe it is expensive, I do not appreciate that they send you an “expanded test” offer for 88 more foods and charge you again - but that being said I hope it helps someone else as well.

Test doesnt work- terrible customer service
The kit they sent did not have a finger prick that drew the amount of blood needed for the test.... i did my best. The instructions asked for a photo of the blood sample and promised a reply within 6 hours... Three days later they emailed and said no, it wont work, there is not enough blood... we will send you another kit...ok, great. But then two days after that my results came in over email (before any retest kit even arrived) saying i had no allergies. Well, which is it? not enough blood to test or not? I reached out via email and insisted asked that I get another test (mentioning their original promise to retest). A different person that had originally replied to me said 'no', and after a couple emails between us, insisted no. I know i have a lactose intolerance (a significant one) but the test did not show it. To me, this indicates the test did not work and a good argument for retest... they replied with lots of big words as to why i should not expect my test to show positive results (even on lactose)... Why didn't they give these disclaimers on the amazon website for consideration before i bought the kit. My guess is that would hurt sales :(. I want a retest, or i want my money back. Let the buyer beware.

Worked well
I had a really positive experience with the Everlywell Food Sensitivity Test. The kit was easy to use at home, the instructions were clear, and the results came back quickly in a well-organized report. It gave me helpful insights into how my body might be reacting to certain foods and helped me think more intentionally about my diet. Overall, a convenient and informative tool if you’re looking to better understand your eating habits.

There are better test by trying out this company I wasted my money!!
I do not write reviews but I wanted to share to save you money and order the right test from the right company. Life extension is more detailed and accurate and costs a few dollars less. I just ordered this test and I have done another test 7 years ago and I liked the previous test much more. I felt that one was also more accurate and much easier to read. I decided to order another test from Life Extension which is the one I did 7 years ago. The results are different so I wanted to make sure by ordering another test that I had previously done which seemed to be more accurate with my sensitivities. The life extension is 153.95 after using coupon code BEST15. You also have the option of doing a home test or going to a local lab. I do experience a lot of digestive issues and most of my results from this company I don’t even consume. The lab extension was more on point because I do consume the foods that were high on my avoid or moderate list. This is why I decided to go back and order another test from life extension. So basically this just cost me double. I just love amazon and didn’t think this test wouldn’t be accurate. Sometimes you can’t just order everything on Amazon. Learn from my mistake. I will update my results from Life Extension. I know my body and my results from Everly are not on point. I gave this test 3 stars because it was easy to order with quick results and easy to take test. Also a few of my high sensitivities are accurate which were cow’s milk, beef, chicken but I don’t consume any of these since I am plant based and don’t consume any animal products. Hope I have helped one person. I know the frustration with digestive issues and my goal with the new test from Life Extension is eliminate most of my food sensitivities just to get rid of the discomfort of digestive issues. The Everly test was an absolute waste of money and time. Save your money and time and order from other companies.

Answered a lot of medical mysteries for me
Bought this without giving the prick of the finger too much thought. To get medical answers you have to go thru not so fun medical tests. Why not do it in the comfort of your own home. But I chickened out about 5 times before actually piercing my finger with the lancet. Good news. That’s the only part that sucks. Let the blood dry for 30 minutes then seal the kit up and send it off. ASAP. Everything’s taken care of as far as shipping labels and supplies. I waited about 4 or 5 days altogether I believe. Once I got my results I discovered my stomach issues were because I’m sensitive to everything I was eating on the regular. And I do mean everything. My sensitivities were: coffee, eggs,(both the whites and the yolks) chicken, crab, lobster, pineapple, grapefruit, garlic, and seasame. I was diagnosed with acid reflux at 13 even tho that’s not what I have. I never have heart burn. What I did have were intense stomachaches and gas and what I mostly ate for protein was chicken and eggs. Oh and I also had coffee everyday like water. After receiving my results I instantly did the elimination diet custom tailored to my body. Changed coffee to chai, various other teas like matcha or Yerba mate. Started eating more salmon and pork, beef. Stopped cooking at home with garlic Oh and of course ingredient checking everything! Egg sensitivity was so bad you can just call it an allergy. I never knew why I had adverse reactions to shots. Like flu shot makes me extremely sick almost immediately after sometimes I pass out and or make the first layer of skin on my face peel completely off and seasonal allergy shots do as well. Talked to my family doctor and they use egg in shots sometimes. Another question answered by this test. 3 weeks of food eliminations, I’m here to tell you it works. When I slip up or accidentally miss an ingredient. I notice I have all those symptoms I have before. Bloating, stomachaches, weight gain for no reason. Really great alternative to in lab medical testing.

Easy to determine food allergies and sensitivities.
This was a simple and accurate blood test to determine my food allergies. I followed instructions to warm my hands to help blood flow and pricked my finger with the enclose lancet. It was surprisingly not as painful as expected. I filled the provided collection card with circles of blood, let it dry and put it in the enclosed envelope to drop in the mail the next day. I went to the simple to use Everlywell app and registered my test kid. I mailed this in on a Monday and received my results by Thursday or Friday. They confirmed my suspicions about what I can and can't eat making life easier for me in less time to order and do the test than it would have bein to make an appointment with a doctor's office for a food allergy test.

Not in Canada:(
I live in Canada and when I tried to set this up I found out that the company doesn’t support Canadian results. This should have been on the Amazon site.
