Could this be used to fix a hairline crack in a clay chiminea?

Hi, we would not advise it's use for this application.

When used on a thin space on the floor would it crack if somebody was to stand on the space?

You only use this on item on some where about a fire grate such as loose baby bricks, or if you have an all night burner for sealing it off. This item NOT to be used on wood or such. As you need heat from the fire to get the cement to set.

Is this item suitable for use in a tandoor oven from which food will be eaten?

It can be used in some oven environments but it isn't food safe so if the area of application and cooking method involves direct contact (which cooking in a tandoor oven usually does) we wouldn't advise it's use.

Do you have to cement fire bricks into a multi fuel stove (wood burner)

I have a Morso Squirrel and the fire bricks just slot in, so no - they are items which will need replacing over time so they should never be cemented in.
