I'm a curly haired girly, well woman, who has never been taught how to take care of her hair, and who has been straightening her hair (and frying it), without ever perfecting a blow-dry. No patience, hairdryer too heavy, etc. After my old Babyliss hairdryer died after MANY years of use (I had won it at Christmas work raffle 20 years before) and after trying one of flat brush + hairdryer combo, I wanted to get a good hairdryer with the proper accessories for curly hair or blow-dries. After reading the reviews, I decided to try this one. First of all, IT IS SO LIGHT! Compared to my old one, it was such a relief. Honestly, the small size and the light weight make it ideal for home use AND travel (remember when travel hairdryers were a thing, and how they always left your hair half wet?). It is also amazingly quiet (relative to the hairdryer noise scale), but it doesn't compromise on its power. Now, 2000's me is always tempted to go full power, but I have learned and I am now a better woman, thanks to Youtube tutorials made by my peers that are 20 years-younger. I have learned the ancient art of the diffuser for when I want to "embrace my curls" (I'm pretty sure that's the official term and it must have been trademarked by someone), AND I have learned to blow-dry my hair using the concentrator and a round brush for when I want straight hair. For the first time in my life, no hairdryer attachment will end up in the bin. Jokes aside, it is a remarkable hair dryer that was light enough to handle (even with the current carpal tunnel syndrome I'm enjoying right now - YAY!), and it left my hair dry and smooth. No frizz or "oops I fried my hair " feel. I have been using medium heat with medium speed, and my thick hair was completely dry in a fairly short time. The cord is long enough for my use, and I have never felt it should be longer. The hairdryer design is super pretty, and I like the compact factor. If this hairdryer lasts as long as my previous one, that's me sorted for, fingers crossed, another 20 years. TLDR; 10/10, highly recommend

Really good value lightweight hairdryer.

I used it for the first time. Everything was fine for the first couple of minutes, but then the hair dryer suddenly started smelling burnt, even though I was using it on the green (lowest) setting, and it started buzzing loudly. My hair was already half-dried naturally, and I started drying it with the hair dryer tilted down, trying to avoid getting water on the heating element. Then I decided to put it down for a couple of minutes to "rest," but that didn't solve the problem. The concept itself is superb, I was really excited and dreamed of going on a trip with such a compact thing, but it didn't work out. Such a shame.
