This was recommended to use with main stream daughter and special needs daughter. Letting them know how long they have to carry out specific task or how long they have left on social media.....works a treat. Excellent and simple to use. Recommend

We love this timer ! It's our everyday helper with our son. But we bought this one, pricier than all the other because it was supposed to last long. Turns out after 3 years he just suddenly stopped working. Changed the battery, nothing helps. This kind of product when well built can last for decades so disappointed because we feel we would have get the same result with a cheaper one.

LoveD it but drains battery fast (and needs replacing often to keep the beeps); now i have beeps but does nto count down - utter rubbish, DO NOT BUY Did give 4 stars as overpriced and now downgraded to reflect not made to last more than a few goes!

The Time Timer is a well designed visual countdown timer. It is compact so it doesn't take up much room on a desk, I place it under my monitor so it's in my visual field all the time. The red disc shrinks in a clockwise direction which makes more sense than other similar timers as this is the same way a hand on a clock moves. I have found it to be very accurate, I have three of these (large 60 minute, small 60 minute and small 120 minute) and each of them are accurate when compared to a digital timer which gives confidence when I use it for timed tasks. We use these for the kids when we want them to do 30 minutes of homework, or they can race the clock to tidy their rooms or whatever. I also use them when I'm giving a presentation to keep track of the time, or on work calls so I can ensure we stick to the agenda without spending too much time discussing a single topic. It helps with ADHD "time blindness" and can be used for time blocking or the pomodoro technique. The beep isn't too loud so you don't get startled when the time is up, but you can also disable the beep altogether. I would like to be able to control the volume of the beep like you can on the larger timer, and a 30 minute timer would also be nice.

There's a button in the back to turn on and off the alarm once the time run out, but it doesn't work. I tried many times, and with no success. Very disappointed.

There are budget options out there and I can't speak to them because I didn't buy them but I can say after opting to go with the OG visual timer to help me primarily with ADHD slow start and high distractibility I am pleased I did because I noticed straight away the build quality was solid. The rotation of the knob to set the visual timer supplied the right amount of feedback; the alarm is loud enough without startling you if you're in hyper-focus mode and it possess an overall built quality that I appreciate. TimeTImer travels everywhere with me, to work and back and around the house. For my ADHD type, visually seeing how much —or more so little—time is remains is vital. It has helped me understand just how time-blind I am by default.

I have previously owned one of the “home” models of the TimeTimer. I like these as they help with ADHD focus time. It shows how much time is left in a session. They are quick and easy to set and immediately count down. I’m super sensitive to even the lightest sounds and this makes zero noise as it counts down. I love that you can disable the ringer at the end too. I use it to get in the zone. So if the time ends while I’m in the zone I don’t want it distracting me. I want to keep going and I like that this does it. This model is an improvement over the Home model. I like the interchangeable silicon housing cover. It allows you to customize it without buying a whole new timer. The silicone is also just nicer anyway as it grips to the desk and is nice to handle. This model accepts a small screw over the batter compartment to kids don’t take the battery out if this is in school or you have a concern about that. I don’t but it’s a change over the home model. The build quality of this one is much better than the home model as well. It is sturdier and slightly larger. The red timer backing is also better than the Home model. This one doesn’t have the time clear tab over the timer part. Most people won’t care about this but it shows that it’s higher quality and a cleaner timer face as well. I’m happy with this one. I’ll probably buy more in the future and I’ll always buy this model over the Home going forward. It’s only a few dollars more and worth it in my opinion.

Es un poco caro, pero reconozco que es muy útil para temas educativos. En mi caso, que lo uso para niños pequeños que todavía no tienen adquirido el concepto del tiempo lo uso para establecer el tiempo de trabajo, tiempo para comer, tiempo de castigo... De todas formas, me ha fallado al mes de comprarlo...
