Every time I purchase this, the sand spills everywhere and I have to grab a whole seperate container just to not get sand everywhere. But regardless, my hamster loves this sand and she’s picky about everything so that says something…

It's only been a week but our hamster already loves to sleep in it. And the little slotted spoon is perfect for fishing out hamster droppings.

I returned this immediately after seeing how extremely fine the sand was. It was advertised as a hamster sand bath/bedding product, but I would not feel safe using this for a hamster or any small pet. The texture was much finer than I expected, and I was concerned about the possible health risks if the dust or fine particles were breathed in. The size of the bag is small, but that was not my main issue. The fit for its advertised purpose was the real problem because I do not think this is appropriate for a hamster sand bath. For scent and odor, I did not notice a strong smell from the bag, but the lack of odor does not make up for the safety concern. I also cannot speak much on durability because I returned it before using it, but the sand itself felt too fine and dusty for me to trust. As far as value for money, I do not think it is worth it if you are buying it for a hamster. Even if the price seems reasonable, pet safety matters more than saving money. I would strongly warn other hamster owners to check the texture carefully before using this. I personally returned it right away because I was not comfortable risking my pet’s health. Maybe its a durability issue and during transit it got smashed into such a fine powder but even then.

Better used as a scrub for cleaning than a dust bath for a chinchilla or hamster cause price is expensive
