Best of the rest
So I recently bought 3 different brands of hot sausages because I needed them for a quick keto snack but didn't know which one I would enjoy the most. Soooooo, you all get to benefit from my experiment! The brands I purchased were Herb's, Penrose and Hannah's. Here's what I think: Overall, all of the boxes came kind of beat up. That's okay for my home use. If you wanted to use these for some kind of display, like in an office, you would need something else to put them in because the boxes would be tacky with how beat up they are! #1 - Herb's, hands down, was the best sausage! Of the 3, it had the best flavor (a strong spicy flavor without overwhelming heat) and texture. Made with beef and chicken in cause you're wondering. The box came in the best shape and it's expiration date was the furthest out (April, 2019). I don't think I'll need sausages again EVER, but if I do, it will be Herb's without hesitation. #2 - Really tough choice but I'm going to go with Penrose. Made with chicken and pork. Flavor was right on with Herb's but the texture was kinda off. Hard to explain but just kinda felt more processed/fake (I know, I know, they're all processed...). The texture completely through me off though. The box was the most damaged and the expiration date the closest (November 2018) #3 - Again, probably more of a tie with Penrose. The texture was fine but it's lacking in flavor. Perhaps it's missing a few things from the seasoning package. Made with chick and beef. Box was okay, but still damaged. Expiration March 2019. Ultimately, there's really only one option for me. If Herb's is OOS, I just won't be buying sausages. I'm spoiled. Either the best or nothing!

The best NON PORK pickled sausage
First of all the shipping was literally next day , the sausage tastes pretty fresh , it’s very hard to find a good quality pickled sausage that isn’t pork but these are great . They are spicy but not overbearing at all, the vinegar has a nice kick I really am enjoying these , there is a tad slight aftertaste but it’s not bad at all goes away pretty fast I love these 10/10 would buy again!

Small but tasty.
Really good value, and tasty to boot. They are small, but that's not a bad thing, you can always eat 2-3. Unless you really want the mouthfeel of biting into a thicker sausage. There is a decent snap to them as well. Product arrived fresh with a shelf date of June 26 2021, so I have plenty of time to savor them. The dispenser style container is a lot of fun, like a convenience store on your kitchen counter. Flavor is sharp vinegar with a bit of heat and spice, but not too much. Beef and chicken recipe is more firm than chicken and pork recipe of other brands. Price is slightly lower than MSRP of product at time of review. Really good with a beer or soda. My only complaint is they are a little bit difficult to open, but a knife or scissors makes quick work of that issue. I wish they had the easy split and pull like the penrose brand. I'd definitely get these again.
