Lisle 37000 Air Conditioning/Fuel Line Disconnect Tool Set

Although the packaging states suitability for Ford and GM, I have successfully used the red insert for my 2000 E38 750iL transmission oil cooler pipes. My pipe collars had broke. Make sure you apply plenty of WD-40 to the pipe ends before hand. 20 seconds of toing and froing and the pipes were off. A mechanic quoted me £70 to take the pipes off because he had a "special disconnect tool". A good product from Lisle.

Good assortment of sizes and i liked the idea but unfortunately not robust enough for my application. I wanted to replace the fuel filter on my Saab 95. The diameter of one of these items is perfect but even though I had used WD 40 to penetrate fitting this tool would not move the clip no matter how I pulled pipe while levering the tool with a range of items. Gave up because it was getting to the point where I could damage fitting and end up with a bigger job. The car had 90k plus miles and was 14 years old so They probably were not designed for this task and I was probably expecting too much from them.

I bought these to release the air con pipes in my smart roadster. The pipes are under the car. After about ten minutes, they released. Being plastic I thought they would break easily, but they have lasted well

I found these to be a bit flimsy don't know how durable they are going to be.

Great addition to your shop tool box that I wish I would have discovered years ago. These would have saved me a lot of headaches over the years. Now you can get them cheap and easy in this set. I had no idea they would work so well. The plastic slides along the hoses and into the lock collar easy and then just push in to disconnect the tabs and the hoses release. I bought this Lisle 37000 set to replace my truck’s AC hose. Those spring-lock connectors used to frustrate me so much, I nearly gave up before. This 6-piece kit covers all common sizes and fits into cramped spots under the hood easily. The tools slide smoothly onto fittings and release lines without scratching or cracking hoses.
