Amazing
Wow straightening my hair just became so easy. I have just past the shoulder length curly frizzy hair. Wash spirits with GHD heat protection and 20 mins later perfect straight hair with volume, no frizz and so soft. Hair doesn't get too hot and no crispy hair smell. So easy to use, not heavy or noisy. Just take sections of hair like when I straighten, 3 to 4 glides down then move on. Finish off with shine shot. Hair isn't flat like it is with normal irons. Easy to dry roots and get the baby hair too. Lasts till next wash 3/4 days. Even able to create waves on my bangs. Can't fault them. Yes they are expensive but I was able to pay over 5 months interest free so win win. I can't recommend them enough. Super quick delivery too.

Soft, shiny hair
I have really frizzy hair no matter how well I try to blow dry it. This made my hair very soft and shiny. The shine shot is really just GHD straighteners by a different name. They are still needed to perfect the look but it’s a really quick going over with the large plates as the majority of the straightening was done at the time of drying. Roots were still a bit damp despite holding each pass for 3 seconds. I recommend waiting until your hair is 70-80 dry or blasting with a hairdryer on the roots if you’re pressed for time. Originally when I watched video reviews, I thought the shine shot did most of the heavy lifting so if you already had GHDs then there was not much value in this product. However, that’s not the case as the drying process really helped with the frizz control and the shine shot was a really quick process afterwards. Didn’t think I’d love the bigger plates but I would ditch my platinum GHD for the bigger plate straighteners in a heartbeat now! Like this is 2 in 1. Really quiet compared to Dyson Supersonic and I didn’t find it heavy at all. Hair stayed straighter and frizz free. Better than when I use a hair dryer and regular GHDs.

Amazing
After reading several reviews brought this for my wife who has long thick hair , previous reviews suggest the device is heavy and overly noisy this simply not the case, it is much quieter than a hair dryer. Drying and straightening now takes 60% less time with end result being comparable to using separate dryer and straighteners . Yes it’s expensive but so are decent dryers and straightener’s . Overall very good product from a reputable company .

Not like discribt
My girlfriend is a huge GHD fun, she was really excited about to try this product , however she says is Way to heavy, does take long time to dry hair, doesn't give as smooth and straight finish as it does with other GHD straighteners. Absolutely not worth the money. So back to the original method .

Slow but gives great results
I am in two minds about this. The negatives are that it is expensive, heavy and hurts my arm and it takes ages to dry my thick shoulder length hair. I have an airwrap and I can get my hair dried in a fraction of the time. However, this gives a fantastic result. My hair sits perfectly, as though I’ve gone to the hairdresser. It straightens perfectly but it is easy to turn to give a bit of bounce. The results are shiny, bouncy, perfectly styled hair. It also keeps my hair straight until I was it, a new experience for me. Due to all this I really do love it. It seems to work far better than regular GHD straighteners which also are great. I want to use this every wash but it takes too long so I think I’ll use it when I want to look good and rough dry it first. Its appearance is sleek and lovely and it appears to be very well made like all GHD products. Yes I very much recommend it but be aware it takes ages to dry, leaving you with a sore arm but the results are amazing!

Be patient when you first start using it.
I have until the 12 August to return this product but I think I made my mind up two weeks ago that I was keeping it. Met my sister from Ireland who I hadn't seen since April and her words were "what are you taking, what are you using on your hair it looks amazing! My advice would be try it three to four times to get used to it. I found it awkward at first because I am used to the slimline GHD but you get to know the product and how to use it the more times you do. Also I found leaving my hair for 5 minutes between using the drying part and then the hot shine shot part helps. It gives the hair time to relax. I also found I get a few days extra out of my hair when I use it. Well worth the money.

Not great on shorter hair
I have chin length hair and couldn’t get to grips with this. Firstly it’s top heavy to manipulate. Then the drying phase didn’t smooth as much as I expected and the extra smoothing was just like using straighteners. Given its price, it’s back to hairdryer and separate straighteners for me.

Disappointing
I was super excited to receive my duet as I’d read a lot of reviews which were very positive. Unfortunately for me this hasn’t been the case, the first being the weight of the duet, this can be quite taxing on the arms! Secondly, I found I was still having to blow dry my hair so that it was only slightly wet before using the duet. Finally thirdly, unfortunately I’ve had to request a refund and return the duet as it was losing power randomly, the handset was switched on, and the chime had sounded but then the lights would go off and the fan wouldn’t start. Overall I would advise to give this product a miss, I like the idea but I definitely think it needs some refinement to make it the premium product it’s advertised as.
