LiBa Bug Zapper Outdoor 4000V 20W, IPX4 Waterproof Insect Killer for Yard

I bought uy for my family in Cuba because there’s a huge mosquito infestation there right now. From the first night we plugged it in, we could tell the difference. The 4000V grid is extremely powerful, and you can actually hear it catching insects nonstop. The 20W brightness also helps attract the bugs fast, so the room starts clearing up within minutes. My family was shocked at how many mosquitoes it trapped in just one evening. I love that it works both indoors and outdoors, because they use it in the patio during the day and bring it inside at night. The IPX4 waterproof rating gave me peace of mind, especially with the humidity and sudden rain in Cuba. It’s also super easy to turn on and off with the switch, which my parents like. Honestly, it has helped them sleep better and enjoy being outside again. If you’re dealing with mosquitoes, especially in places with heavy infestation, this zapper works amazingly.

Ended up buying 3 of these for indoor use.. and while I haven't had them long enough for a long term test, they met my biggest concern: whether they'd be effective with those little gnats and midge flies. They are. Before to control these annoying things I'd have to: never use dishwasher in warm seasons and wash dishes as they're used, daily regimen of a splash of bleach in every drain and plugging basement floor drain. What a PITA. Now i can live normally again. While these don't completely eliminate them because they're constantly getting in through windows, doors and drains, they keep them under control.

ive stars for performance, four stars for efficiency. This zapper is incredibly effective the 4000V grid is powerful and makes a very satisfying "pop" when it catches something. It’s been a lifesaver for keeping the workshop and patio clear of bugs. However, be aware that it does pull a decent amount of electricity if you leave it on constantly. I’ve started using the built-in switch to only run it during peak "bug hours" in the evening to save on power. If you need a serious insect killer, this is it, just be smart about when you run it!

I like this item since it is easy to hang, very quiet compared to others, and does a good job. I do not understand how to remove the bulb but the bottom unscrews easily to dispose of the dead bugs. I have not yet hung it where it would get wet so no comment on that. Would I buy another one of these? Probably not.

I live on a peninsula in Texas .. we have mosquitos! I had a different unit that went out after 2 years and needed to replace it. My old unit worked wonderfully, (night and day,) but the bulb was not replaceable so I thought I'd get a more powerful unit with a replaceable bulb .. This unit was comapartively priced! It works pretty good at night but not effective during the day (I use it indoors only) I open to clean it and it does have dead mosquitos but it also has "live" bugs and mosquitos that fly off the minute its opened. My old unit would trap 50-60 mosquitos a day and kill them .. This unit I find a dozen dead bugs and about as many that fly off not killed. I see mosquitos in the house during my day, in the same room and it does not attract them .. I was going to return it but was busy and I missed the return date by a couple days. I would not recommend it .. it worked fine on other bugs but not too great with mosquitoes!! I was going to replace the bulbs, but they are only $3 less than buying a whole new unit

When I first purchased this bug zapper, I thought it was a good fit. It worked well and I actually liked it at first. The problem started when the bulb went out. I tried to find a replacement bulb, but it wasn’t easy at all. I thought I bought the right one, but it turned out to be the wrong type. There’s not much clear information on what bulb you actually need, and I couldn’t find helpful videos or instructions anywhere. Then I tried to replace the bulb myself. You can’t just pull it out—you have to take the whole unit apart. While trying to carefully remove the bulb, it ended up breaking. I wasn’t being rough, but the way it’s designed makes it very difficult. At that point, the unit was basically useless. I couldn’t get the broken bulb out, and now it’s in the garbage. This is a decent product only until the bulb burns out. After that, it becomes frustrating and almost not worth the trouble. Unless you plan on replacing the entire unit every time the bulb goes bad, I wouldn’t recommend it.

So, almost exactly 3 years ago we bought a bug 'zapper'. It turned out to be an inspired purchase, doing exactly what it was supposed to do - zapping anything that went near it - until it died after 3 years of almost continual daily use. I was disappointed when I went back to my order to find it 'currently unavailable'. So I looked at what else was on offer and bought a different zapper. When it turned up I was immediately disappointed - it was about 2/3rds of the size and very flimsy - the outer body had detached itself in the box! The long and the short of it was that it turned out to be useless with the switch braking on the very day I got it. It's sitting here now waiting to be collected for the return and refund. So I searched around again and as soon as I saw this LiBa zapper I realised it was the same as our original model, just under a different name. I bought it immediately, it was delivered the same day and has been merrily zapping bugs since I plugged it in and switched it on. There is so much junk out there for sale but, for a family home, this one really does the job well. Look no further. If I get another 3 years out of this one I'll be very happy. :-)

Unfortunately, my experience with this fly killer device was extremely bad. It did not kill a single fly — on the contrary, flies pass right next to it without any effect. This is by far the worst product I have ever used. I would like to return the item and request a full refund. إ
