Loving This Keyboard!
This Razer DeathStalker V2 keyboard punches above its profile. I’ve been using the Razer DeathStalker V2 in the white finish for several months. I’m very impressed. This keyboard stand outs. The low‑profile design is fantastic. The keys sit lower than many keyboards. The all white finish gives it the perfect look for the esthetic I was looking for. Beyond the white keyboard, the full RGB backlighting provides bright lighting and a glow that is beautiful and vibrant. I absolutely love this feature. This function can be personalized. The build is high quality. Razor customer service was helpful, if not slightly inconvenient when my initial keyboard stopped working. The reps were helpful and courteous. Having to document issues in a separate portal or risk not seeing replies, was annoying if I am being honest. All-in-all I am happynwith my purchase.

Absolute Garbage
Razers Synapse software is dysfunctional at best. The quality of the materials used look and feel premium. However, this is as far as this product makes it as a "premium" product. Paying such a ridiculous price point for a product that does not function as advertised and disconnects multiple times during a one minute cycle.... is totally useless. It is unacceptable to most, but down right lying to advertise and sell a product that does not function. Within hours of starting up my new Razer DSv2 Pro, I was completely disabled due to the wireless functionality disconnecting at a consistent rate... seconds apart. Making it a pile of overpriced useless garbage for both gaming and everyday use. Do not purchase this disappointing mess of garbage! There is nothing positive to say about the product. The support from Razer clearly notes that it is a known issue with there software... it is 2024... There is not excuse other than a blatant disregard for the quality and longevity of the products they sell and the customers they sell to. I cannot stress enough just horrible this keyboard is. I've owned more than 5 premium custom low-profile hot-swappable mechanical keyboards and more than 10 premium mechanical keyboards throughout my years of hardcore gaming and professional usage as an engineer. This keyboard needs to be pulled from the market. It simply does not function and needs to be identified as the absolute worst product in the premium mechanical keyboard space. Hands down, no positives.... absolute garbage. Don't waste your money.

Great premade Keyboard
You want a thin, light, compact gaming keyboard The Razer Deathstalker V2 Pro TKL is a low-profile compact keyboard that's also very travel-friendly. You have the funds Due to its performance and design, you'll be paying a lot more to take it home. If you can afford it, it's worth the splurge. You want low-effort gaming With its short actuation and light actuation force, gaming on this takes much less effort. Don't buy it if... You're on a budget The Razer Deathstalker V2 Pro TKL is, without sugar-coating it, an expensive gaming keyboard. You prefer something thicker Though low-profile has its advantages, it's also not for everyone. If you prefer your keyboard thicker, this might be a bit of an adjustment.

Hardware is quite good, software lacks optimization.
Razer's reputation for unoptimized software is unfortunately true - trying to ask it to do too much will often result in conflicting lighting and connectivity issues. My solution was to minimize the fancy lighting effects, only using lightly customized Chroma settings for the lighting, and that tends to help with a lot of the problems. Your mileage may vary, of course, but even the connectivity problems are handled just fine with use of the extender, if it comes to that. The keyboard itself works just fine, and I like the distinct 'clicky' sound and feel of the switches, since that was my choice. I also have a second keyboard with the 'linear' switches, and it works just as good, though I prefer the clicky ones personally. During my connectivity problems, the keyboard was behaving as if i were holding the key down, even though i was clearly typing only one keypress. This was solved by either using a different USB port or attaching the dongle to the extender and plugging that into the USB instead of just the dongle. I even managed to make the keyboard and mouse pair to the same dongle with little issue, though the multiple keypress problem did come up a couple times as well. I can't answer for how the Bluetooth functionality works since I don't use it that way. When it does work the way it should, it's absolutely flawless and responds to my keypresses with enthusiasm and low latency. It's also very stylish on my desk. It's easy to start using, but if you're serious about customizing the layer of Hypershift keys, there is a little bit of a learning curve, especially since the software isn't optimized for any machine that isn't made with Razer components specifically. But once you do pin down the settings you want, and when you find a way to achieve proper connectivity, this isn't a purchase you'll regret. Update 6/5/25: After some thorough usage with both typing and gameplay, I decided I wasn't a fan of the purple clicky switches. They do produce a nice audible click when you press them, but it sounds and feels too thin, akin to a mouse click, rather than the satisfying 'clack' of a larger switch. So I decided to swap them out for a set of Tactile switches, though they will be hard to come by in 'low-profile' variety. Already, I like how it feels compared to the old switches, and they sound so much more 'thocky' than the default clicky switches. Even though it's not marketed this way, it is hot-swappable, though the switches themselves are not universal. As of June 2025, Keychron has temporarily restocked the switches that fit this keyboard, so if you have one and you're thinking of changing the switches, now's the time.

Awesome. Super clean, looks great, works great.
Full disclosure, I did return this as I decided to go Corsair 100k Air instead, but hot dang this was a great keyboard and I still think about it. The build quality and look of this keyboard was truly something I had not experienced before and if you’re looking for optical switches this is the board for you. I settled on the other board because after years of laptop work, I am just more biased toward the feel of chiclets and I love the bump of the tactile switches. This board is only available in linear and clicky so again, if that’s you, so is this board - and to be honest if Razer was able to pull off tactile on this unit, they probably would have all my money. I still can’t forget the absolute beauty and feel of this board. If you’re wanting to pull the trigger on the $250 price tag, you won’t be disappointed.

Works great
Looks and works great, although battery life isn't that good. Keyboard sounds and feels good when typing. RGB lights are just right.

I was wrong! And wrong again...
***Update 2: Another few days later...*** So, I've learned the lighting sync issues were due to the Bluetooth vs 2.4ghz mode. Chroma advanced effects are only available on 2.4ghz mode. Dumb, but at least it's working as expected. Also realized the connection issues go away when the keyboard and mouse are connected to their own dongle. So I'm now giving it 3 stars. ***Update: A few days later...*** The day after making the below review things started to go sideways. First, the lights on the function and number rows started to randomly shut off. I would have to hit a few keys to get them to come back on. Then the keyboard would lose the lights on all keys on the top half of the device. Again, pressing buttons would make the lights come back. Next, while gaming and walking around the keyboard would randomly fail to register my key presses, so my character would randomly just stop moving. Interestingly, I had the keyboard and mouse connected to the same dongle and the mouse would continue to work. So the dongle was ruled out as being the issue. I switched from 2.4 ghz to Bluetooth mode and everything worked as it should. The next morning I connected to my laptop and all of my light settings were back to static/1 color. Even though the device showed up in Synapse, Chroma would not allow me to use any advanced features, showing the keyboard as disconnected. Even though it showed as disconnected it would still show the picture in the Chroma Studio. When editing in Chroma Studio the choices made would be applied to my laptop instead of the external keyboard. I tried disconnecting from Chroma, turning the device on/off/2.4/BT, forgetting/reconnecting the keyboard, ubinstalling/reinstalling Synapse and Chroma, connecting to with the wire, and restarting the computer. Nothing worked to correct the connection and light issues. All of this happened while the dongle/laptop was less than a foot from the keyboard. There is something fundamentally flawed with this keyboard. It's being returned. ***Original Review*** I own a Razer Blade 16 and Razer Basilisk V3. When researching a low profile keyboard I was weary of buying the Deathstalker because of so many complaints of communication/connection issues. So, I ended up going with a Logitech G915. The one I received was used and didn't work when unplugged - apparently an issue with the battery not holding its charge. So I sent it back and ordered another. This one came in even worse shape, with the box beat up and re-taped - I didn't even bother opening it. I then ordered one more and received ANOTHER used keyboard. Reading through the G915s reviews this is for some reason a common occurrence. So, I gave up and decided to take a gamble on the Deathstalker. When it came in I still had theb3 G915s to compare it to and the Razer's build quality is much better. The G915 has a cooler look with the brushed aluminum. The Deathstalker is quite a bit smaller, which I was happy about. I'm also able to have both mouse and keyboard linked to a single dongle. The first thing I did is update the firmware. I paired it with BT to my work laptop and use it over 2.4ghz dongle on my personal laptop. I spent the weekend gaming on it and had no connection issues. I woke us this morning (Monday-workday) and turned the work laptop on and the keyboard synced to it immediately. Again, no connection issues. Maybe I'm lucky. Maybe Razer has figured things out with their firmware updates. Whatever the case, the keyboard is working well and compared to its closer competitor (G915) it is miles ahead. Happy camper here.

One of the best and unique product in the market
There aren't a lot of low profile wireless mechanical keyboard out there. This is one of the few, and so far it is pretty damn good. One small issue is that the key stabilization is not very good, give it a shake test and you can hear all the keys wobbling. Other than that, the RGB isn't very bright, which is kind of disappointing considering my old corsair k70 mk.2 low profile was significantly brighter. However, this keyboard is still very satisfying to use, and it gives you a clean desktop thanks to its wireless connection. If you don't mind paying for a premium, this keyboard is the way to go. I returned my blackwidow v2 pro for this and no regrets so far.

Not what I expected
Generally looking good, the backlighting adds a touch of excitement. But battery not last longer. Low profile is good but you may feel pain for long use
