Bi Fold Door Hardware Kits for Bifold Closet Sliding Folding Accordion Door

I bought this repair kit to finally fix the bifold doors in my wash room. I was tired of them constantly sliding off the rails and never sitting right, and this kit turned out to be exactly what I needed. The parts fit well and made the repair straightforward. After reseating a bifold door for the hundredth time, I decided it was time for some new hardware. Surely the door industry has come up with a better solution by now, right? This kit came with essentially the same hardware I already had, except the rectangular spring-loaded guide has been replaced with a wheel — a major upgrade. I believe the old guide was often to blame for rough operation and the door popping out of the track. However, the other weak point — the top pivot bracket that installs into the track — hasn’t changed (at least not in this kit). I had just as much trouble tightening the set screw enough to keep it from sliding as I did with the original. That might be partly because my tracks have seen better days and probably should've been replaced too. I've now replaced the hardware on all three bifold doors in my house with this kit, and they’re operating much more smoothly. Installation was pretty straightforward. The only minor issue was that the pivot pins and guide wheel were a bit loose in my doors, but a couple layers of hockey tape made them fit snugly.
