POWEROWL - Pro Rechargeable Battery AA 16 Pack, High Capacity 2800mAh, Premium NiMH Double A Battery

The batteries look pretty decent, they also come in nice cardboard packaging which is environmentally friendly. No battery cases are supplied which can be handy for storing. A lot of other batteries come with cases but that better for environmental reasons I guess. I tested the charge and discharge curves and they look close to the rated 2800. 2700 is pretty close and my test may not be that accurate! There are so many batteries that I’ve bought and tested though that never come close to the claimed capacity. The internal resistance of the battery is also around what I would expect, all good so far. Testing in real devices they perform well enough in a number of different items but like most rechargeable 1.2v batteries, they won’t power higher voltage devices that need the full 1.5v oomph (so don’t buy these if you know you device requires that to operate). They did however power my sons remote control lightning McQueen car to the shops and back without any issues! Having said that they seem pretty well made and last a good amount of time. Longevity I haven’t tested as I’ve not had them long enough. The labelling is slick but fails to mention anywhere on it that it’s a NiMh type. Not that that really matters much, but was worth noting in case later down the line you can’t remember. Pros - close to rated capacity - decent performance - environmentally friendly packaging Cons - no mention of the battery chemistry - no battery cases supplied

Good value for money, charge speed is very quick. I use these batteries in my wildlife camera so they only last 24 to 48 hours before needing charging again. This of course depends on how many activations there have been on the camera.

Great value NiMH battery, based on my (very subjective) experience, outperforms name brands at a lower price point. I use these in two very different applications, and they do well in both - first application is an external flash for a camera, where they provide good recycle times (i.e. low internal resistance) and good life. The second application is for a smart lock, which has long idle times, punctuated by driving the lock motor at relatively high load. They last longer than competitor rechargeable batteries, achieving a life close to alkaline at a fraction of the price. I've got the Powerowl USB-C charger for 8 cells, and that appears to work well also. If you're looking for decent rechargeable batteries at a good price point, these are a good choice.

Was fine for the first 18 months but now seeing signs that some of these batteries are not holding much charge . They have been subjected to relatively light use so am a little disappointed

A hard act to follow ... previously been using US manufactured, military grade equivalents which have become difficult to source. I have bought powerowl pro pack AA batteries that I thought I pay more money for a better quality battery. Unfortunately these batteries are a scam and not even better that normal powerowl AA battery which I don’t charge the as soo often as powerowl pro. I thought it may be the powerowl charger but I have bought a different charger and the issue is the same, the batteries are not charging properly therefore is not much electricity stored in them. The normal powerowl AA batteries I charge them every few months whether the pro is every few days for the same usage. Don’t buy them, it is a scam.

Ik gebruik deze batterijen al een tijdje en heb ook eerder veel van dit merk gekocht, altijd goede kwaliteit en ze gaan lang mee. Ik gebruik ze in controllers, TRV's, lampen, etc. Allemaal met tevreden levensduur.

Hace algo más de sesis años me compre aquí mismo unas pilas recargables de esta marca, y me han funcionado a la perfección. Después de tanto tiempo, después de tanto carga y descarga, estaban un poco machacadas, así que quería unas nuevas. He visto que ahora tienen la versión PRO, y a por ellas me he ido, en un pack de 16. Como digo en el título del comentario, lo que funciona, no se toca. Estoy muy contento con esta marca y sigo aspotando por ella. Uso las pilas para una radio para mi padre, y para mí, para usarlas con el mando de la XBOX Series X.
