Is this pipe suitable for the irrigatia micro system connectors?

The irrigation pipe supplied with the kit was 5mm internal diameter. I was worried that the fittings wouldn't fit but once about 5mm was warmed in hot water the accessories would all fit.

what is the pipe made of. The PVC pipe has always deteriorated very quickly. The Nitrile rubber has lasted well.

Not sure what it made of but I've used it at work and at home and ant had any trouble with the pipe

Is this rubber or pvc? if it is very flexible then it is rubber, if it tends to go back to it's original shape then it is pvc... anyone?

Sorry, not sure, but it is flexible and better and more heavy duty than the kingfisher tube which is definitely pvc.

Do I need to buy an attachment to connect to the tap/hose?

Yes. This is just micro pipe. You will need wide bore hose, connectors to join the narrow bore hose to it and an adaptor for your tap. Better to get a kit with all of these if you are starting plus a water coontroller to switch it on an off - there are lots available on Amazon but the Hozelock Classic Micro Irrigation for Borders or up to 25 Plant Pots with Select Controller is a good starter.
