The Keeping Busy Tile Matching Game far exceeds my expectations for quality of the tiles, the color sheets, the box they fit in, and even the outer packaging. My mother reads everything I give her, and the clear, gentle description on the box cover doesn't mention dementia and so doesn't cause her any stress or confusion. At first she couldn't understand that sometimes a piece needs to be flipped over to fit into the space, but I was pleased to find that when we played at my next visit two weeks later she had learned to do that. We only used the fully colored sheets the first several times, but then I began giving her the ones with white spaces, and soon she was able to figure those out as well. I sit with her and offer a thumbs-up when she fits a piece in properly, or quietly take one out again if she has gotten stuck. It's great to see her smile and be amazed at herself when she completes a tray. That is worth almost any price. My only complaint, as others have probably said, is that the navy blue color is too close to black, and the two greens are not different enough in hue. But we have learned to deal with that, since the tiles are thick and weighty, and the laminated sheets fit nicely into the box frame. Thank you for this excellent product.

I was afraid that my husband, who has dementia, wouldn't use this puzzle, but we keep on the island in the kitchen and he uses it often. There are 70 some different puzzles to recreate, and they are tough enough to challenge him, but not so difficult as to be frustrating for him.

Got this for my mom with dementia but she had a hard time with the colors because they are very similar (blues, greens and yellows/orange).

Excellent product but too expensive

My 88-year old mother has moderate-to-severe dementia and this game works very well for her. It keeps her busy and entertained for hours. It's a good balance: not too difficult but also not too trivial for her to keep her brain active. Her eyesight is not very good and she can't play many other games which require good vision. This game however has large enough tiles that it can be played even with less-than-ideal vision. I highly recommend it.

I like that the pieces are large enough to hold easily & the quality feels good. Many examples to engage dementia patients (for them to follow). Intend to have my mom do this everyday for 1 hour.
