This bookshelf seems a lot more sturdy than like the $35 shelves you can get from Walmart. The assembly was pretty similar / easy especially with 2 people. Easy to anchor to wall. A little smaller / less deep than expected but that’s due to my own measuring

I bought the VASAGLE ULBC166X01 6-Tier Bookshelf in Rustic Brown a couple of weeks ago, and after putting it together and loading it up with books, I can confidently say it was a great purchase. It’s got a lot going for it, and while it’s not perfect, it’s easily one of the better shelves I’ve come across at this price point. Pros: It’s sturdy: This bookshelf feels way more solid than the cheap ones I’ve bought from Walmart's "Mainstays" or Target's "Room Essentials" brands in the past. Those tend to wobble or sag over time, but this one feels like it’s built to last. I’d say the quality is on par with IKEA furniture, which is a big compliment in my book. It looks fantastic: The rustic brown finish is beautiful—warm and inviting but still modern. It’s a real eye-catcher in my living room. Smart design details: The back panels slide into place instead of needing to be nailed in, which is a huge win. No annoying nails poking through or panels popping out! Clear instructions and extras: Everything is labeled, the instructions are super easy to follow, and they even include extra screws and dowels just in case. Little details like that make a big difference. All tools included: You don’t need to hunt down a screwdriver or Allen wrench—it’s all in the box, ready to go. Cons: It’s a bit small: This bookshelf is shorter and narrower than others in the same price range (like IKEA shelves), so it doesn’t hold quite as much. It’s something to keep in mind if you have a big book collection. Limited shelf adjustability: Each tier has three peg holes, which works fine for most things, but very tall books like The World of Ice and Fire or oversized comics, like Dark Horse Library Editions, just won’t fit unless you leave a shelf out. Takes a little time to build: It’s not hard to assemble, but it’s definitely more involved than some of the simpler shelves out there. I managed it on my own, but having a second person would’ve made it easier. Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a bookshelf that’s sturdy, stylish, and well-made, this one’s a great choice. It’s not perfect—especially if you need a lot of space for big books—but for the price, it’s hard to beat. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could, but I’m rounding up to 5 because it’s just that good. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a bookshelf that combines good looks with solid construction. Just keep the size limitations in mind before you buy!

Personally I found this bookshelf a pain. First you need additional tools that are NOT provided, hammer and drill. I was lucky I owned my own tool kit with a hammer however I had no drill. Without the drill, I had to screw those damn immovable screws with the screwdriver 🪛 tool which didn't work well at all. I ended up using my own hammer to bang them down. Second the holes don't really line up so I needed to jimmy them to keep bookcase slats even while I tried to adjust screws at the same time. Third the backing folds out in 3 pieces is flimsy not a strong solid piece of wood but thin cardboard so it continues to fold as its in thirds making it impossible to say in the groove. And finally you need to attach the top to the bottom and need a second person to hold up one end while you hold the other. All in all a poor buy for the price had I known the material was so cheap I never would have bought it. Right now I'm waiting for a friend to help me put the top on but I would buy this again. False advertising and poor quality item!!!

I bought two of the six tier tall shelves and they look lovely. As a college student that literally hasn’t ever built anything myself before, I can say this was very easy to build. It comes with the tools you need, except a hammer of sorts but that’s only required for a minor step. Once I got the first shelf done I was able to complete the second one within around an hour and a half give or take :) def will get more in the future.

Good quality..smaller than I expected tho. Fit my need perfectly! Very happy purchase. Easy to put together.

Exactly as described and looks great holding my large number of books I have put on it. Back was a teensy bit flimsy but it’s against a wall so that’s a nonissue. It fits against the baseboard but stands very sturdy in its own. Built it myself in less than an hour. As you can see it holds a large amount of books!

The setup was straightforward, and all tools required for initial assembly are included. You are given the materials, but not the tools, to attach the shelf to the wall for additional stability. I would recommend this step, as without the anchors the shelf is a bit on the wobbly side. Why don’t I install the anchors, you may ask? I am renting and don’t want to damage my walls. I also found using the Allen wrench to build the shelf a bit rough on the fingers. Aside from that, the shelf pieces are well labeled. I was slightly disappointed to find out that the wood is OSB, and the shelf is a bit on the heavy side. On a positive note, the overall look of the shelf is quite nice—it has a sleek design and, most importantly, does the job of holding books and decorations.

I was worried about the quality at first but I can proudly say this shelf is absolutely worth it! It’s sturdy and can display your items beautifully

Purchased two of these, very easy to assemble and they are solid once together. Nice looking and good quality, excellent shelf for the price.

Using this shelf to do some built-ins. It is pretty basic MDF shelf that you would expect for this price range, nothing fancy. Really quick to put together and doesnt way a tone. I am bracing mind to the wall without the bottom part on and trimming it in to look "custom" so I am sure when its all done with the bracing and shims I have added it should be pretty sturdy. However, standing on its own I would definitely anchor to the wall. The shelves themself seem to be solid, I will be able to put some decor and books and storage on the top. I imagine if you put big books on them they would eventually sag! Overall, pleased with the quality for price.

we are not really that happy with it it was easy to put together but the pins of the shelf fall out to easy. I have 4 other products from Vasagle that are really good. but this book shelf isn't the same quality
