Platinum Studio Microphone Cable - 12 feet

One of the best deals ever. In a top flight hifi this sounds better as an AES/EBU cable than fancy, expensive cables like Wireworld Platinum 10 and Zen Acoustics Absolute 110 Ohm AES/EBU.

It's like a veil was lifted on the bass, when applying it towards my kick drum mic on the bass cab, it is clear, no extra garbage, and really really sounds tight with no extra unwanted frequencies. The bass is extremely tight and clear, the top end is nice as well. Worth the price if you are looking to experiment with different cables to get different sounds in your studio. I will probably get a couple more over the next few years, since they are pricey, but very very worth it. 25ft is nice for a medium sized studio. Get these.

I have a high end audio system, and wanted high quality XLR cables for it. There's a sweet spot where quality and price meet in the audio cable business, and I feel Mogami has found it. Cheap cables do work quite well, especially if you have middle-of-the-road gear. I'm at the other end of the spectrum, where some people spend thousands on cables believing it will make a difference. It arguably does make some difference, but the results diminish quickly in terms of audibility. I honestly think anything beyond Mogami's quality/price ratio starts to get into the snake oil category. These are great cables. Spend the rest of your money on great electronics and speakers.

Ideal for connecting an audio source like a DAC to an amplifier. You will hear everything on the recording, and I’ve yet to hear any interconnect that sounds better.

The Cardas Neutral Reference has been my favorite cable which has bested many other cables I've tried in my system which is very neutral consisting of Stereophile Class A preamp and monos. Fresh out of the box the Mogami Platinum cables sound richer and more dynamic than the near 20-year-old Cardas, they both have similar detail retrieval, but the Cardas still slightly beats the Mogami in air at the top. The Mogami Platinum cables punch well above their weight and are much better sounding than the star quad Mogami variants, which roll off the highs in my system, as well as the other more expensive audiophile grade cables I've tried. After about 50 hours of break in things went south. The Mogami cables became very mid centric and lost even more of thier air. Bass was about the same but became a little overwelmed by the midrange. Imaging improved a little which was the only high point. They seem to have stabilized at this point. I put the old Cardas back in and it wins in every catagory now with the possible exception of richness. Pitty, these had real promise, but are going back.
