My favorite game of all time is, hands down, Metal Gear Solid 4. It is a masterpiece, a true testament to the high-art gaming can achieve. So, in honor of my favorite game, I wanted a physical representation of the great Snake to stand on my desk (at work) as a statue-esque testament to such a great franchise. This figure is BIG (around 10 inches), and really has a presence. It is extremely detailed, and has excellent accessories. If I was a 12 year old boy, it would be my favorite action figure, no doubt. It's very easy to pose (the joints lock great and he has many points of articulation) too. I have him on my desk at work (which is totally not weird for designers like me :-). If you're looking for a great figure to have around to remind you of MGS, and don't want something that feels cheap or "toy-like", this is the one to get!

Solid Snake kept me protected when I was working at my miserable job. I posed him to aim a gun at the door behind me, and his stealth suit worked so well that people rarely noticed him. In fact, to this day, I still don't think my bosses superior noticed that Snake was there the whole time. The figure is very posable, sturdy, is expertly sculpted, very photogenic, and looks awesome on your desk. Don't really need the riot shield unfortunately, but I absolutely love this figure. Expensive, but well made. Would not recommend this as a toy for youngsters unless you have money to burn. This guy is much more detailed than a standard GI JOE, and is something that should be handled with carefully.

Play Arts kai and Square Enix did a great job with this figure. I own several of these Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker figures and they're all highly detailed and true to their video game counterpart. This is "Big Boss" (Naked Snake, not Solid) in his Sneaking suit version which also comes with the tranquilizer gun with silencer and an MSF ballistic shield. The figure itself has a lot of articulation and very poseable. The face is also highly detailed and life like. Overall a must have esp if you're a fan of Peace Walker.

I'm disappointed because my action figure came messed up. His belt thing where his bags hang is too high. It's suppose to be on his hips but instead it's half way over his abdominal, which I think is why the crotch piece won't stay in place. I have to pop his leg back into the hip area so it doesn't look so weird. I also have an unglued strap on one of the bags. It just pisses me off that I paid twice as much for this figure than the Jungle Fatigues one and I got a messed up one. My Jungle Fatigues was perfect. Otherwise, I do like how poseable this figure and the detail that goes into them. It makes me happy to collect action figures of my favorite game series.

I just got this figure and I've got to say I'm very happy with the purchase. I've already got a small collection of figures from the Play Arts line and this has got to be one of my favorites. Like most of the Play Arts figures, the posing ability is amazing and joints are very nicely masked in the details. While there is no base included, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Snake stands on his own effortlessly and isn't in any danger of toppling over. As far as the detail goes, this one certainly shines. In fact, it's probably more detailed than Snake's own game model. The sculpting and paint details are top-notch. Out of all the Play Arts figures I've got, It's got to be one of the most durable too. While I could talk about the positives all day, it wasn't without it's issues. I had very similar problems to those of reviewer Katie. When I first removed him from the box, I noticed the belt on his waist was too high up due to the upper edge of the soft pelvis section overlapping it. I managed to tuck it back underneath and move the belt down but it took a little fiddling to fix. Also the strap from his holster that is supposed to loop over his belt was untucked. Can't really get it all the way back in, either. It's not a noticeable problem but it can be cut off without any sort of loss if it's bothersome. It's also worth noting that the emblem on the right shoulder of my figure has a bit of a scuff. Overall, I would've given this five stars but a little bit of careless assembly in the factory can spoil the fun. It doesn't sound like this happens to everyone, but be aware that you might get one like this.

This was my first first venture into a Play Arts Kai figure and I'm glad I spent the money on this great figure. Not only are the paint applications some of the best I have seen but the posability is just fantastic. Not only can Big Boss hold almost any pose but the weight of the figure lends itself to his balance as well. My only complaint is that even though he comes with great accessories in the form of his shield and two pistols I would have liked a larger gun as well like the Masan Nagat or a RPG. Either way, if you're a MGS fan and want an iconic figure, this is the toy for you.

Didn't come with shield

I was hoping for more when I got this guy but am happy with what I received. The only problems I have found with this figure is it's head sculpt is not that great compared to the other variations. Also it's an old play arts kai so no ratchet joints which means with time if you leave him in some crazy pose the ball joints will get loose. If you are thinking of picking him up just remember that the ground zeros version of big boss is coming out possibly this year! So if you can hold out till then i suggest that, not to say this figure isn't good. The sneaking suit is pretty badassfor this guy as well one if my favorites in MGS. Good figure with one or two flaws.

今まで可動・非可動を問わず様々なフィギュアを購入してきましたが、最も気に入っています。 まず購入してみて驚いたのは造形や塗装の丁寧さ・出来の良さ。 スニーキングスーツのシワや金属部分の質感もとても良く出来ていて フィギュアにとって重要な顔部分についても、ゲーム中のスネークの老練さ、精悍さが しっかりと再現されていて非常に満足しております。 価格に対してのサイズの大きさについても驚きました。 大体25cmほどの全長なのですが、本当に迫力があります。 可動も問題なく、かなり幅広いポーズをとらせることが出来る。 パーツや間接部分の強度もしっかりしていて頑丈です、安心して扱えます。 とにかく、この価格帯のアクションフィギュアの中では正直信じられないクオリティの高さ。 メタルギアファンはもちろん、フィギュアコレクターの方は是非手に入れてみてください。 フィギュアに特に興味が無い方も、部屋のインテリアとして如何でしょうか？渋くてカッコいいですよ。

His crotch is a little out of sorts, but the rest of the figure is top notch!

顔やスーツの質感など、リアルでかっこいいです。 稼働範囲は物足りないかも。今後もっと動かせる物も作って欲しいと思います。 自立しますが不安定で、立ち方や置き場所によってはすぐ倒れてしまうので、支えが付いていて欲しかったです。

スネークが大好きで予約して購入したのですが左腕の肘から下が肉離れ気味で届きました。曲げたら球体の部分がむきだしになってしまいます。 私だけかもしれませんが今では買い直そうか検討中です。 一見、完成度が高く見えますがやはり値段相応、耐久性が低い感じがします。 ポーズを一度決めたら変えないようにしましょう。でないと関節部分がすぐにきしんできます。 ただ、顔はとてもスネークに似ていてデザインがとてもいいので買う価値は十分にあります。 しかしスネークは歴戦の戦士、平和のために戦い続けてきました。感謝と尊敬の念をもって扱いは丁重に。いたわってあげてください（笑）
