I had low expectations for a build it yourself Amazon desk, but I am very excited with how great this desk turned out. Overall, the cons are negligible and the pros make this more than worth the buy. pros - fantastic build quality, very sturdy - where screws for legs meet the top of the desk, there are threaded, metal holes rather than raw wood. I expect this will make a huge difference in this desk's longevity - well packaged, no damage during shipping - clearly labeled, easy to follow instructions - easily able to be built by one person - great price - screw in mounts at the bottom of each metal leg protect floors from scrapes cons - shelf underneath is too small to comfortably fit the average printer or scanner, but I understand that it also is small to allow for a bit of leg room - desktop computer shelf underneath would be too small for some of the larger, custom built desktops (ie the hyte y60) and stability would suffer if it were to be removed. there is space under the middle of the desk where there's no shelf to comfortably fit a desktop, however. - because of the monitor shelf, there's a gap behind the largest piece of the top of the desk and the wall even if you opt not to built the monitor shelf. This does allow space for cords, but also would allow for things to potentially fall behind the desk.

Aight, I wanted to write this review cause sometimes I read reviews and I think to myself, "These are definitely bots." So i wanted to write this as a hooman in case someone thinks the same thing. -Ok so starting with the delivery. When the package got here I noticed that the box itself was a little damaged but I'm pretty sure it was just the delivery services fault. Sometimes s*** happens. The desk itself wasn't damaged at all so I wasn't worried about it. -While I was reading other people's reviews I noticed a few people were saying that it was a pain to assemble, the instructions weren't clear, you should have another person to help you, and that certain holes didn't line up perfectly. In my opinion I think people like to complain about everything and they want things to be close to Godliness. No, that's ridiculous. During assembly I had absolutely no problems. The instructions were super clear and easy to read, I did everything by myself, and it literally took me like 15 to 20 mins but I was taking my sweet time. As for the holes not lining up, if you put one screw in and tighten it down all the way before putting the rest of the screws in then yes it's not going to line up right, but that should be common sense. Just put every screw in where it should go first and don't tighten them down all the way until you feel that everything lines up. Then tighten them down one by one a little at a time. It's not that hard. -As for the quality of the desk itself, I think that for the price, it's a pretty damn good desk. It's not going to be the finest of mahogany but it's a damn good desk. There's plenty of room on it as well. The only thing I wish this desk had is one more shelf on the bottom somewhere. I've had this desk for a few months now and I haven't noticed any chipping, peeling or failing of the design at all. I would like to note that I do have some weighty things on my desk and it doesn't feel like it's bending due to weight at all. -Overall I think this is an amazing desk, especially because of the price. I am very very happy with my purchase and if I had to I would buy this one again I would. If you read this whole thing then thank you for your time and I wish you the best of luck on your desk hunt.

Bought the ODK L Shaped Computer Desk and now I feel like a Bond villain in my own home office. The “L” stands for “Luxury” because, let’s be honest, having space to spread out your work, snacks, action figures, and still have room for actual work is a true luxury. Assembly was easier than expected. I didn’t even break a sweat, or maybe that was just the sheer excitement of completing an adult jigsaw puzzle without missing pieces. The reversible design is like having two desks for the indecisive decorator in me, and the storage shelves? Chef’s kiss! Perfect for books, gadgets, or hiding embarrassing knick-knacks when company comes over. My favorite feature has to be the monitor stand. It elevates my screen to eye level, making me feel like the commander of a spaceship rather than someone frantically trying to meet deadlines. If you’re in the market for a desk that doubles as a statement piece and a functional workspace, this is it. Just add a swivel chair and you can spin around dramatically whenever someone enters the room. Who doesn’t want that?

Very easy to assemble with great instructions, and the frame is nice and sturdy. The additional depth on both sides compared to most of the other L desks on amazon makes a huge difference, I can actually fit equipment on the smaller side because it's not 8" lol. Because the frame is so solid, the desk is pretty easy to modify for your specific needs. I put a larger glass desktop from my last desk on top of the 54" one for a little bit more space and it feels really secure. i'm gonna swap out the panel on the monitor stand for a deeper piece of wood to accommodate a synth keyboard, and because of the sturdiness of the supports for that piece i feel 100% comfortable doing so. You could remove the existing wood inserts with a hex key, line up and clamp your new piece, and drill through the existing insert holes to ensure everything matched up. I'm pretty sure the 54" side would have no problem at all accommodating a longer/heavier desktop surface if you already have one. The only reason i'm not giving it an automatic 5 stars is because some of the other features you'll find on other amazon desks like rgb lighting and desk mounted outlets would have been super useful for me. This is mostly being used as a music production workstation, so lighting for panel values etc would've been great. I still highly recommend this product, but i'd gladly pay a bit more for those extra features. Still, nothing you can't mod for yourself

I love this desk! Not only is it incredible convenient that you can assemble it to your liking, with instructions on how to do so, but it is honestly so easy. I will say, I put mine together by myself, but I do recommend having another person to help (as do the instructions). It is very sturdy and the shelves are perfect for a nice, neat workspace. The L-shape also allows plenty of space for multiple projects or add-ons to sit comfortably.

As good as I am & as careful as I am I still wound up making a mistake putting this desk together. Side note, you'll need 2 people at times. On just before the last step something wasn't going together just right. I called the company and got an answering machine BUT within a few minutes I got a call back from a customer support person who gave me an email address to send a pic. The next morning I had an email reply telling me to "reverse part A". I did that and BINGO! the finished desk went together perfectly. This was clearly my fault as I found the instructions to be excellent. They were well noted at every step and the parts were extremely well labeled.

I an very happy with this desk! I needed something that was budget-friendly (I was only willing to pay a max. of $400-ish on a desk) with a side-part to rest my dominant arm while typing to not irritate my carpal tunnel. I love the shelf to put a monitor on, though my monitor is quite large so I might purchase a separate clamp-arm-monitor-stand to install and I think this desk will support it well. I will say that I wish the width of the desk (where I place my keyboard in front of the monitor) was wider to separate myself from the monitor further (to protect my eyes). That being said, it's still a nice, wide workspace. I'm happy I made this purchase!

I just purchased 2 of these, 1 for my daughter, 1 for my home office. They are beautiful and actually look netter than the pics, very sturdy, and they were so easy to assemble. These came with the simplest instructions, and the items were packed in the box as you wouod need them. Can also be assembled left or right corner. We highly recommend!!!
