I’m impressed with this night-vision monocular for the price. It’s compact, easy to use, and works surprisingly well in complete darkness. The infrared night vision provides a clear enough view for observing wildlife, camping, and checking things around the property at night. The 8x digital zoom is useful for viewing objects at a distance, and the included tripod helps keep the image steady when zoomed in. I also like that it comes with a rechargeable battery, 32GB memory card, carrying case, and other accessories, so it’s ready to use right out of the box. The only downside is that the 8x zoom is fixed, so it isn’t particularly useful for viewing things up close. The image quality is also not comparable to expensive professional night-vision equipment, but for casual outdoor use, it does a good job. Overall, a nice little night-vision monocular with a good set of accessories and solid value for the money. I’d recommend it for camping, wildlife observation, and general nighttime viewing.

So this is a great addition to anyone's arsenal. But be cautioned that IR is not the same as thermal or ambient light. Those options are quite expensive. This item fills the space with invisible infrared light which the camera detects and gives a bright field of view. You are, however, a beacon for those who do have ambient light tech. But for general purpose camping and hiking and lighting up the immediate surrounding environment. Not for much distance though. It is very easy to use and intuitive. And everything works well it weighs practically nothing. I'm definitely keeping it! I'm glad I have it but it is IR technology so it is limited. However, for this price it's easy to justify owning.

Didn't bother to try the recording or photos. The screen size is very small. The other folks saying that it is not a monocular, that the field of view is way too narrow, and that it is no good for indoor use are absolutely correct. This can certainly give away your position even on the low brightness setting. I as a 36 year old with perfect vision cant focus on the screen any less than 6-8 inches away without it hurting my eyes. Further away, it becomes very impractical because the screen size is so small. The small field of view is useless for walking around at night. This device is almost more debilitating than helpful. It is however, decently clear when you focus it correctly.

I live in an area with bears and mountain lions. When my small dogs like to go relive themselves at the yard, I am often worried they may be in danger since I can’t see very well. This gives me a bright enough view to be able to spot anything and protect them while they go out in the yard. Image is bright and clear.

I've been using it with my dad in the woods for several days now. We enjoy watching the animals at night I like taking it with me because he's so excited to see them at night

This is a really cool piece of hardware. The monocular has pretty good zoom letting you see things 200-300 meters out very clearly. The standard (no digital zoom) field of view is fairly narrow. i wouldn't recommend it for night vision to walk around with but for spotting targets it's great. The IR illumination has 8 modes allowing you to control the intensity which is nice when scouting in enclosed spaces.(Keep in mind it is active IR which is great for most non-tactical scenarios) You can also record video and take photos in both regular and IR active mode. For the price I think this worth it. I'd definitely buy it again.

Positives: 1-Good day image quality for the sensor size this type of camera are using ( do not compare the image to a 2-3k digital camera) 2- good IR image quality and good control of IR led(in city you can turn off the IR led , in forest let it on) 3- nice that the battery can be replaced 4- Narrow Field of view so you can subjects from 200-300m Negative: 1- Not a Monocular!!!, it has a small screen and it hard to focus if you don't have good close vision . It will be nice to have a eye adapter and be a real monocular.

Great little monocular. The only problem is the 8x zoom is fixed so it's not very useful for anything close to you. If you want to see all the way through the field though, it's good for that.
