It took about 3-4 hours to process fully, which is standard, and the scent was earthy but not overpowering. The powder was finely milled and easy to mix with warm water. I left it overnight to release the dye, and it applied smoothly the next morning without clumping. My scalp didn’t itch or burn (which has happened with some cheaper brands), so I believe it’s free of harmful chemicals. The only downside: it’s a bit messy to wash out, but that’s typical of all henna.
