This is a silent practice product, meaning that it will not produce (much) sound like an actual guitar and that the strings cannot be tuned. As the strings are real, they will still make noise, but it is out of tune and there is no real way to strum.The product is a great idea for chord and scale practice in quiet/guitar-unfriendly places with your fretting hand, especially with six frets allowing you to do most things you want to do. However the string height or action is rather low and not adjustable, which means the extra finger strength needed for things like barre chords won't really be built up by using this alone, and the lack of sound means that bends cannot really be practiced. I wouldn't really think this useful for complete beginners, as you really need to hear the chord/note the first few times you play it to know if you are fretting correctly. Once you have a good idea where your fingers need to be, this is the kind of thing you can begin using to practice in places you cannot bring your guitar such as on holiday or on car journeys, as it is always best to practice on the guitar you would like to play on.The cover/strumming hand grip allows you to hold this almost like a real guitar and does come fully off and can be put back on relatively easily, making the strings easy to change and tighten due to this and the allen key 'tuning pegs' on the underside. This also seems as though you will be able to put your preferred strings onto the product too.However do be aware this is a right handed practice tool with both the case and string order made for that orientation. I forgot to check that, and as I play left-handed (thus fretting with my right hand, not left) I have had to remove and reorder the strings, which while simple could have been avoided.It arrives in a drawstring cloth bag which seems nice, though on opening the box one of the wooden beads simply broke in two and fell off. Aside from that, the product has a nice weight to it and is definitely something I will recommend.

To be honest the item is a piece of cr@p how can someone practice with something that basically has fake strings doesn't even sound like a guitar and when you practice your should be able to hear if your making mistakes

Totally a waste of money, very disappointed. The strings cannot be adjusted as the mechanism to do this is very poor. In short stay well clear of this product

Brilliant practise piece. Could take it on holiday to practise chord shapes and not bother anyone and without having to lug a whole guitar with you. Delivery was really slow! Nearly 3 weeks.

Couldn't even get the bloody thing to open. Struggled for half an hour with two of us trying to pull the neck out, and failing. Cheap Chinese crap. Returned same day for a refund.
