It does what you would "expect" well.
Expectations are low for a 200w heater to be honest. I was more concerned about safety, well-built, quiet (no snap/crackle/pop like oil filled heaters), can be touched without danger, lightweight, cool on the backside so safe to hang on a wall. It is all of the above so is a very nice execution of a flat-panel 200w radiant heater. Longevity is yet to be tested though. I also wanted a radiant heater as opposed to a convection heater, so this fit the bill perfectly for me. EDIT: it is not completely silent, the thermostat switch inside makes a chirping noise like a cricket when it cycles, a nice feature that it can't get too hot, but it ended up being useless to me as a nighttime heater as I am very sensitive to noise. I have messed around with low wattage heaters before so I knew what to expect. I have two 350w wall-plug heaters in my home office and they can increase the temp maybe 3-5 degrees in there, enough I don't have to heat the rest of the house as much. I use it to heat a small enclosed space (smaller than a closet), with an inkbird thermostat to control it, it does that well. As far as other uses it's hard to imagine what 200w alone is good for really. Put four or more of them on the walls in a small bedroom and I think you would do ok to heat that room, but there are simpler solutions for that. Chicken coop heater is about right. A last bit of information: the switch is inline with the power cord and has a high and low setting, so no electronics and therefore works well with external thermostats and timers.

Glass Panel Heater
I was quite surprised by the heat output on this little thing! I had to actually turn it off just to cool down my room. Some reviews have had negative results, but not me!!! Its heated my entire room, an average size bedroom. With 2 large windows on the end corner of house. Its been super cold at night here in Oregon where I live. Theres not a heater installed in my bedroom, so I've relying on main house heat. I've had this heater for a week and I'm very impressed. If it actually had temp controll, (not a toggle of I or II) not just 2 adjustments & off, it'd be even better. Because even in low setting it's still very warm. Even in the space outside my room has gotten warmer. Another thing, the glass face gets super hot so keep away from little kids or things that are negatively affected by heat. I keep it my metal shelf next to my bed. I put it there to warm up the air on my side of bed. But I'm thinking I'll place it behind my headboard now. Its really slim, so you can hang it just about anywhere. Or attach feet and place it wherever. Happy heating!

At least it's safe
First, the good stuff. It's safe. It doesn't get hot enough to start fires. At worst, it is hot enough to be mildly uncomfortable to the touch. Now the downsides. If you want it for the purpose of taking the edge off a room, then either that room needs to be VERY small, or not very cold in the first place. At the 200W setting, it reached a maximum temperature of 125F. It does exhibit mild convenction, but the heat given off is minimal at best. holding your hands above it, you would need to be within a few inches to feel a significant temperature change. It is slightly better for radiant heat. A temperature change was able to be felt within about 12 inches from the front surface. I did a test in my open closet to see how it could handle a partially closed area. The closet is about 10' deep by 6' wide by 8' high, with a standard width doorway (no door). Obviously, it is filled with clothes, so plenty of insulating factors...but the open doorway is a big hindrance. The heater was placed on the floor 2/3rds of the way back in the closet facing the back. I placed a digital thermometer/humidity guage about 7' high offset a foot to the side of the heater. After about 45 minutes, no change. I did a second test with the thermometer on the floor approximately 1 foot in front of the heater. Checked it again after 45 minutes. No change in humidty, but the temperature was showing a 5F increase. Hope this helps!

Good for what it is intended.
Even though I have three sides blocked off under my desk it is still cold down there, especially on cloudy days or before the sun comes up and warms the southern wall of my house. My Cozy Legs came with the switch with two heat settings, 100 watts and 200 watts (I tested it on a meter), and this works perfectly on the 100 watt setting for taking the chill out of the area beneath my desk. The 200 watt setting is warmer but also I notice more warm air rising and don't want to dry out my eyes, which in the desert climate is why any space heater with a blower does not work for me, especially under the desk. You can experiment if this type of radiant heat is right for you under your desk by putting one or two lamps with old incandescent light bulbs under your desk. This is a little better than that because you don't get all that light, and the flat panel distributes the heat better than a light bulb, and it gives one direction to the heat, outward from the front face of the heater. The flat panel oil-filled heater I mention below does not do that. It heats on both sides. Another test is putting an oil filled radiant heater under your desk on the 600 watt setting, but with the thermostat turned down so it is more in the 100 to 200 watt barely warm range. So this is like that, but doesn't take up the space. There is one maker of a small flat panel oil-filled heater, but that uses more electricity and decided I'd like this totally silent low-wattage one instead. One person in the comments mentioned that this radiates only from the front side, which few other heaters do, so that was a feature I wanted also. One person in the comments says the heating panel in front is glass but I think it is hard plastic. The heater gave off only a very slight odor on the first day of use, less than a new computer monitor would, and after that it's not noticeable, which was very important to me and I read all the reviews of this to make sure no one said it smells. There is the California warning, which I suspect has more to do with it being a heating device made out of a certain kind of plastic, more than it actually emitting harmful amounts of chemical in plastic, although I don't know for sure. The heater is absolutely silent, and the low wattage is something I really wanted. I have oiI-filled heaters for my main heat source. I don't have a passive house, but my house is made out of materials with passive heating properties and so that's why space heating is possible. I like that the heating element inside this is ceramic which means it will probably last long. We'll see. I have a rather ordinary oil filled radiant heater I got from a big box store that works like new after twenty years of regular winter use. I like how the feet on this are designed thoughtfully and were so simple to put on. I would like it more if it were made out of a light metal with a glass panel on the front but realize it would probably cost more that way. This is well made and I will come back to lower my rating if it fails within only a few years. According to my reading, it is one of the more reliable models, especially in this price category. After getting this, I would happily buy this again. But I'm not going to give it 5 stars because I think too many people buy this thinking it will serve as their main source of heat, and it is not going to do that unless your office is closet size. Without your desk blocked off in the leg area, this isn't going to work in a cold or drafty room or office either. Again, if a few light bulbs work to warm that area, this will work as well or better.

low heat - steady supply
We have a very cold bathroom. We use space heater while showering, and leave the window and door open after, but the moisture just stays in the bathroom b/c it is too cold (except in the summer). So this is now on for most of the day and it seems it helps with extra moisture. It is not heating the bathroom, but it is keeping it just above too cold. For 200W I feel it has a good output. Also somebody in the reviews said that the chicken coop heater is the same as this. Not sure if they changed it, but the chicken coop heater has a steel binding wire around the wire for electricity - I would not use it for the bathroom. Otherwise it is the same and it is cheaper.

Underpowered but good build quality
This heater is well made and functions as described except that it's not quite warm enough. On the higher of the two settings I can barely feel it from 3 inches away, on bare skin. I have not even bothered with the lower setting, except to test power draw, but I doubt I would feel anything at all. On the higher settings it draws about 180 watts (advertised at 200 watts) and on the lower setting it draws roughly 85-90 watts (which I assume is supposed to be 100 watts). The panel itself does get hot, as I found out the hard way by accidently touching it while moving my feet around, but it doesn't radiate that heat outward very well. For the price, I'm not too upset but I wish it was a little more effective. If the heat settings were 200 watts and 300-350 watts instead of 100 and 200, this would probably work a lot better and as intended. It's a quality product but it definitely needs to be juiced up a little in future models.

Silent radiant heat
Simply amazing. Silent low-key heat that gently warms a space without making a big deal of it. Doesn't overheat you or blow air like a a ceramic space heater. I was a little confused by the description that said optional standing feet or wall mount. I didn't want to wall mount this, but thought it didn't come with feet. I was pleased to see the feet inside the box, with included screws to add them. The feet were easy to attach with 2 pre-drilled screw holes.

"90% less energy than a space heater" โฆ. but
That's what it says on the box, and therein lies the problem. Although you'll be saving a lot of energy, you won't be getting very warm. The premise of a radiant heater sounded good and the picture on the box with the warm orange color and smiling lady sitting happily at a desk looked inviting. My room was 67 deg. F, I put this 200W heater under my desk which is up against a wall in front of me, on my right is another wall and to my left the side of the desk goes down to the floor so the only opening is behind me "under my chair". I could not find a position for the heater where it did any good trying to keep my feet and lower legs warm because the "other" side of my legs immediately feel cold. Exactly what you would experience standing outside in the cold next to a nice campfire, the part of you facing the fire feels good but you have to keep turning around. The face of the unit gets quite warm to the touch but radiating that heat onto the small area (cross section) of your legs facing the heater is very limited. My legs were just as cold as ever. Radiant heaters don't heat the surrounding air so in my case, this is not a good solution. I need warm air circulating around under my desk so ALL sides of my legs and feet feel warm at the same time. I went back to my 700/1000 watt ceramic heater set to low with a built-in small fan and all is good again. Returned for refund.
