E251 - Givi E251 Universal Monokey Plate

Perfect fit on my Motorcycle and Topbox.

I wnated to get a different Monokey back box but had to get the plater as well, no biggie. Easily fitted and sturdy. Put my new back box on and went for a 'spirited' blast on the M25 for a few junctions, vame back, had a look at the box and plate, still rock solid. I did use some threadlock on the nuts, even though they are nylon locked I like to cover all bases!! Original Givi product, in a Givi box, great product. I will be getting the Givi foam back rest today so wifelet can lean back a bit more and stop grabbing me !!

I bought this rack for my recently purchased Yamaha YBR125 (2012 plate). I already had a Monokey top box from my old motorbike and wanted to move this across to my new bike. It was very easy to install on my using the existing luggage rack which came with the bike. It is very secure but I would always recommend checking it every week or so. Because it is a universal fit there is always a possibility it will come loose from the fittings as it is effectively bolted onto the tubular rack. Bike specific racks are usually screwed into specific mounts under the plastic which is far more secure. So far though I have commuted nearly 500 miles with it, backpack in the top box (around 5 kg) and it is still solid as a rock

I bought this so that I could use the top box from my Versys Grand Tourer with the rack on my ZZR 1400. The Versys boxes are really Givi Monolocks so this works perfectly. The plate has a grid structure so you can choose where to have the mounting bolts to suit whatever rack you have. It also comes with brackets to alloy you to attach it to tubular racks. I fitted it to a Motech Street Rack with no problems and so far it's stayed on up to 120 so it should be OK for when I go a bit quicker 😁

I have an BMW R1150 GSA and Givi Trekker 42L top case. The case doesn't fit directly to the oddly shared aluminium BMW rear rack and Givi no longer make a dedicated fitting kit for this bike so I honestly thought I was going to have to give up fitting this and start searching for a genuine set of original BMW luggage. I took a change on this universal kit and after a good few evenings figuring out where best to mount the brackets, washers and bolts (all of which by the way deserve a mention for being excellent, heavy gauge quality) this solution worked. I did have to experiment with a few different lengths of Allen bolts (bought separately) but it's on and I'm perfectly happy with it. Decent value too. Feels indestructible.

I have rated this item as 5 star because it deserves it. The reason for my review is to point out that noone can expect "Universal" to cover all eventualities. I own a 2019 BMW F800 GT. The BMW rack is not tubular, has a triangular appearance and is also quite thick with some narrow gaps. The fitting plate sat well on it and as per the supplied instructions and I could see that the brackets could fit using three in a triangular configuration. This was one of the plates recommended configurations. The problem I had was the bolts in the kit were too short for my rack. A quick trip to a DIY store to buy the bolts resolved it. So if you are considering this accept you may have to buy longer bolts. I would suggest if it fits my rack it should fit other non tubular racks. It cost me an extra £9 and it is sat very securely. Belt and and braces I popped a few tie wraps on as well. All hidden by the cover that sits on the plate. My bike needed one M6 60mm towards the front and two M6 40 mm for the rear. The lock nuts supplied with the plate will fit those bolts.

This is the second one of these plates I have purchased. I fitted one to my v-strom 650 and found it to be excellent. I bought another one and have just fitted it to the standard rack on my Royal Enfield Himalayan. It overhangs at the back of the Himalayan but, only time will tell if it is suitable. I intend to use the same Givi TRK52 topbox on both bikes.

Fit my monokey hard case as described. I only had to remove the rubber stoppers so the case fit right. Enough holes and options to mount to aftermarket rack that’s on the bike. The quality of the plastic looks good and durable.

Qualidade Givi !

I was not 100% sure which adapter plate to get for my 2022 Kawasaki KLR Adventure. I took the chance on this plate after doing a bit of research that did not provide perfect confirmation that this was the correct adapter for me. I needed an adapter to install a 58 L GIVI Outback Top Case. This fit the bill perfectly! When installing this adapter, I just skipped using the underneath brackets that are meant to hook over tubing. There are four holes in the factory plate that lineup perfectly with this adapter. Simply install using the four provided Allen bolts through those four holes. The bolts will just clear the plastic piece underneath with a bit of room to spare. Once installed, you can attach your GIVI top case and it will not block the factory panniers or the small compartment that holds your factory tool kit.
