not as easy as the video looks.
so this worked as advertised. But, if you leave the battery out of your old fob 2 long you'll have to reprogram it. but instructions are on line for that. taking your old fob apart is difficult. I used a die grinder to take my 2nd one apart. brute force for my first one. advice is to gently cut it along the glued seam and try it gently open as to not damage the circuit board inside. I am a Aviation mechanic with alot of mechanical tools and experience. I removed the roll pin from the uncut key and my original key and simply swapped them rather than have the new key cut. you will have to grind/file the old key slightly to fit in the new rotating knuckle and reinsert the roll pin. if you don't have that capability then just take it to lowes and have them cut the new blank included. setting the tension and reassembling the new key fob is a breeze for a 2yr old. I however needed a few attempts, but the final result was cheaper than buying assembled fob and paying to have it programmed. but those programming instructions are online and in the owners manual. However I'm old school and rely on pictures, so you my need your kids to stop by and reprogram the fob if need be. 1 of my fobs was without a battery overnight and required reprogramming. fortunately my wife is SMRT. the 2nd fob was taken apart and reassembled in under an hour and worked fine 🙂

Waste of money
Took these to a Chevy dealer to have them programmed and upon opening the fobs to put a battery in, found one fob had no mechanism in it at all to hold the battery and the second was broken.

Work great, easy to transfer, great value.
I just bought a 2014 Spark and wanted more keys. I had three remote units but only one had the folding key itself. New units are no longer available and the key blanks in the swinging shoulder were over a hundred dollars before grinding. I bought these units because just the key blanks were a great deal. I had to destroy the original units to remove the working parts but they went into these new shells easily and work great. It only cost $6.00 each for a locksmith to grind the keys and the units were easy to open and reassemble as they have a screw in back. I now have three complete working units and several spare keys already ground. Highly recommend if your keys are worn or damaged. You just transfer the circuit board to the new unit, very easy.

Be warned, Will not function without additional internal chip.
These were the right size and model to replace my mother's key fob, but there is no internal chip. I had to Frankenstein the chip from the physically broken original fob into the body of the replacement to make one work. The first one was a sacrifice to science, torn apart so I could learn to dissasemble and assemble it again without breaking the second that was used as the replacement. To summarize, these are useless unless you have a chip already to place inside them

Key fob is good but nothing is OE
To start off I ordered this key for a 2013 Chevy spark. I’m the pics I see chevy spark so I ordered it. First thing I see is the back on the key. It’s round for a Buick logo not the Chevy logo. Swapping over parts went well. My other issue was the key shank. I wanted to just get it cut but that didn’t work out for me so I went with swapping the key out from its roll pin. Since the old one was loose. I got both off and went to swap it but turns out the inserted shank part is way different. I used a file a patients to finally fit inside. Final words. If your going to get this key it may have the round Buick logo insert. And get the key shank cut if you can.

What you need to know to do it right
Works great Saves a lot over the dealer. Risky surgery to remove the factory chip.

These do not work
These do not work -- You should remove from your website, they are a rip off cost me the price of these plus $236 Plus another $35.00 to have the blanks cut from the dealership to have the programmed but the dealership was unable to program them. Total waste of money and very frustrating .
