Best printer without Wi-Fi direct
Well after months of usage this is still working great no issues whatsoever. it can do almost everything like photo printing, color printing and even some small pages (like leaflets) and paper which are half of a4 size so this is very versatile printer. its scanner part is also good to like card printer and normal copying (copying color takes time to print). For linux compatibility yes it worked almost instantly by adding the printer (name was not exact like hp 520-530) and printing was same for windows or even better than windows (using kernel 6 and above). we can also scan papers and store them on pc but this only worked on windows since i was unable to scan on linux (this scan captures paper and saves as pdf) . Overall best printer i got.

This was a disastrous purchase—one I’ll regret for a long time.
To begin with, nowhere was it clearly disclosed that this device is incompatible with macOS. I’ll own part of the blame for trusting the brand and the marketplace instead of double-checking, but let’s be honest: this kind of omission would never fly in a more consumer-friendly market. Here, it’s quietly brushed under the carpet because the priority is selling boxes, not serving customers. After realizing the macOS dead end, I configured with a Windows laptop just to make the product usable. What followed was a masterclass in how not to design software. The scanner worked—then didn’t. Reinstall. The printer vanished. Reinstall. Scanning needed a different app. Reinstall. HP Smart stopped working altogether. Reinstall again. This cycle repeated so many times that I lost count. Hours wasted, patience exhausted, and for what? A basic printer-scanner setup that should work out of the box. Eventually, through sheer persistence rather than good design, I managed to get it running. But the real disaster came after a firmware update. The update completely broke the setup. This time, there was no way back. When I tried to download drivers manually, the official support site collapsed into absurdity. Enter the serial number and you’re rewarded with a clean, unapologetic 404 error. No driver page. No fallback. No explanation. Just a dead link—on an official support site. Still hoping for some professionalism, I contacted their so-called “24×7 WhatsApp support.” What followed was almost comical. They asked the usual scripted questions—name, email, model number, purchase date—only to conclude by suggesting a paid technician visit. When I refused and asked a simple, reasonable question—“Where is the driver page I should have access to?”—the response was to visit a service center instead. Immediately after that, they cheerfully asked if there was “anything else” they could help with. That question alone felt like satire. To summarize: incomplete disclosures, broken software, firmware that destroys functionality, missing drivers, non-existent online support, and a push toward paid service for problems created by their own ecosystem. This isn’t just a bad product—it’s a bad experience end to end. Bottom line: don’t buy this. Save your money, your time, and your sanity.

NOT A PRINTER - A BIG SCAM !!!!
Extremely poor quality - Both printer and Customer Service. Those who are planning to buy this please note three common facts found in all reviews. 1. Print Head issues within 5 or 6 months. There is no easy troubleshooting for this. Not even head replacement helps. It's an issue for main board. Costs you several thousands. 2. Warranty issue - The warranty will start several months even before purchase. You may/manly not get 1 or2 months warranty based on your luck. 3. HP Software is a joke - HP Smart is very poor, no real driver support, software is real trash. I lost my money. Go for Canon or Epson. Or any other brand. I would never ever buy an HP printer.
