Works well, fairly easy to apply. Recommended.
Works well. Still holding my mirror up numerous months in. Usually the mirror falls off after 12-18 months, so I get another pack of this to put it up. Application isn't simple-sweet, but it's not hard either. You have have to dedicate a solid five to ten minutes, clean the glass well, hold the mirror in place for a few minutes until it dries (awkward, but shoulder-strengthening). A good product, recommended.

Incredible product & Major time saver!
I normal wait a little while before I write my product reviews just to make sure the product doesn't break or disappoint after a week...However, this product works just as fast as it took to open the packet and read the instructions. I don't know what type of chemical adhesive reaction is created after this product touched the glass but I could tell INSTANTLY that the permatex was working and this was the correct purchase option. I even dropped the metal hanger and the oil adhesive did not stick to me or my clothing. It wiped right off. But when I re-applied it and placed it on the activated area of the windshield glass it bonded immediately. Incredible! I naively tried to hang my mirror with other adhesives first which all failed, and I wish I would have just used permatex to begin with. Still its done and I'm more than happy with the results. Best $4 I've ever spent lol!

The wipe for mixing should have been an obvious point of failure
Product never properly cured, around 3.5 hours after application I went to check and was able to remove the puck by hand. There was essentially zero adhesion to the aluminum puck and a large spot was still liquid on the windshield. While I could have gotten a bad batch, I think the applicator wipe is just not a consistent way to mix in the activator with the resin. I wouldn't waste my time on this which does mean you will need to buy 50-100x the amount of epoxy you need for a job like this and let it you in your garage. Time is money and with the amount of time I've now wasted, Permatex is permanently off my list.

Look Back At It
The mirror on my 93' Nissan 240SX fell off due to old age and from me stuffing a plushie between it and the windshield. Followed the instructions to a T and it worked out. It feels solid on the windshield. I've read a dozen of the reviews saying it's garbage and doesn't work or hold up for long. I'll try to update this review if I can. So far I've had it on for one month. For installation, I was on the colder end of the recommended temperature so I preheated the windshield with a heat gun for about 3 minutes. Just warm to the touch. Nothing crazy. And after applying the metal nub to the windshield I periodically warmed up both sides of the windshield so the temperature would cool down slowly. The key is to remember this product works because it's a chemical reaction and you sort of have to make it an "ideal" place for the reaction to happen. If this product doesn't work out for you, there are suction cup mirrors that look the part and are around $15. Thanks for the read. Update: 5/20/2025 It fell off after being exposed to the sun on a 95+ degree day. I did hit it with my head really hard once a couple of months ago so maybe that's what caused the glue to weaken. Up until this point there was absolutely zero wobbling. I'd still probably recommend this product and try it again if I had more.

Holds up for years in direct Texas sunlight.
I do not have a garage so the rear-view mirror is almost always facing the sun in the daytime. In the Summer the metal will get too hot to touch but this adhesive has lasted 5-7 years in the past. Critical step is to make sure both surfaces are clean, and make sure the surface of the mirror mount is flat and clean. I use a medium and fine grade of sandpaper on a hard flat surface; simply sand the mirror mount surface and rotate it as you sand it. It will be better than it was at a minimum. Then follow directions for the product and wait 24 hours if possible before installing the mirror weight onto the mount.

Seems to last about a year
This is the third time I have had to reglue the mirror. This is the 2nd time buying this product. It is easy enough to use and it does work for some time. This time I was extra careful to sand the metal button and clean it after. Let's see how long it lasts this time.

Easy to use!
After some of the reviews I was a little concerned that this wouldn't work. It works great! Tips: Mark the top of the "mirror mounting button". (Red arrow in photo points to mirror mounting button) When you re-install the mirror mounting button it is important that it is right side up and the smooth side faces the windshield. The second photo shows the obverse side of the mirror mounting button. This is the side that I see after I install the mirror mounting button. Separate the mirror mounting button from the mirror. It is either plastic or metal. You will need to find instructions for your vehicle in your favorite search engine. Sometimes it is a "set screw". On my vehicle (Chevy S10) it is a spring loaded friction mount. I firmly pressed a small screwdriver into the lower left slot and the mirror mounting button slipped right out. I did bend the spring back out a little so that it would grip the button firmly. It is tempting to leave them together but you won't be able to hold the mirror stationary and it will fall off. Put a piece of tape on the outside of the windshield in the position where the mirror mounting button was located before it fell off. You will use it to position the mirror mounting button. Clean clean clean. Make sure that the windshield and mirror mounting button are clean and smooth. I used a paint scraping tool (razor blade) to gently remove the old glue from the windshield and get smooth surface on the mirror mounting button. Follow the directions on the package. The temperature of your windshield and the mirror mounting button are important. The little envelope is an alcohol swab. It helps clean residue from windshield and mirror mounting button. I installed mine in the afternoon about 70F in the vehicle and let it set overnight. In the morning I slid the mirror back onto the mirror mounting button. It is still mounted. Cheers

Didn’t work
This not only didn’t work but left a sticky residue on my windshield. I wasn’t able to detach the weight of the mirror from the bulb, per the instructions, which may have reduced its viability. Maybe it could’ve worked otherwise, but I had better luck with super glue I got from the dollar store.
