Evermore Marine SA-320 – GPS Antenna with Output NMEA 0183.

I have purchased two of these Marine GPS Receiver SA-320 units and have installed one on our yacht club's water taxi and one on my own yacht. Both units arrived quickly and are connected up to Cobra VHF DSC radios. The units worked straight away on installation and have been in use now for around a year with no problems. They are fast to pick up the satellites and are quick to update position data. I would purchase another one if doing a similar installation

I needed a new GPS receiver for my Raymarine RL70. The Ray unit costs over $300. This unit was less than $100. I needed to contact their customer service in China by e-mail, but I eventually succeeded in making it work. The trick was to hook it up to the NMEA inputs of my unit and not the Seatalk. Once I made the appropriate entries to my menu it worked fine. It actually picks up the satellites through the roof of my sailboat and did not need to be mounted outside.

Despite 2 friends proficient in electronics, we could get this to work with my Raymarine C70 and bought the Raystar 125 plus which worked perfectly. NBot worth the hassle and aggrevation to return s0 I guess I got BURNED!!!!!

Works with our AIS system, easy to install. Would have preferred RS423 rather than RS232, but other than that it's excellent.

I purchased this item to link into my Cobra VHF radio so I could get the DSC function to operate, the item arrived quickly, postage was a bit costly though, I'm no marine electrician but found that it was quite easy to install, took me about 40 minutes, once up and running it found my locations very quickly, I've installed it inside the cuddly and it works just fine, very pleased with this item and would definitely recommend it.

Product worked well despite the wiring instructions being poor and the manual also. I found the wiring info on the Internet in the end. It has worked well since. Low price made phaffing about worth it.
