Carpet Cleaner Solution for Pets - Use In Any Carpet Shampooer Machine - Deep Cleaning For Everyday Dog Odor On Carpets, Couch, Upholstery, and Rugs

I have 10 year old oatmeal-colored carpet. I have had professional cleaning companies who make outrageous claims come in and leave me with good looking carpets - and within a week, the trails were back as bad as ever. Then I tried all the "magical" and major brands and the do-it-yourself approach. Same results. Out of desperation and not wanting to go through the ordeal and expense of having carpet replaced, I tried this product. Ah....mazing! My carpets actually look new again! I will admit that I used the upholstery tool on the bad trails and had to go over some sections several times before the extracted water was clear. I was shocked and disgusted at the amount of filthy water that came out of these carpet trails and was determined to get it clean or replace the carpet. This stuff works! It works beautifully! Can't say it was easy doing the trails with the upholstery brush instead of the upright, but it was worth the effort because the carpet is CLEAN - all the way down to the backing, not just on the surface which is what most "professional" cleaners do. Love it! No odor, no residue, just clean, look-like-new ten year old carpet! Wish I had taken pictures, but honestly, I didn't expect such remarkable results.

Products I bought and tried that didn't work: Bio-Kleen, Nature's Miracle, Lysol Laundry Sanitizer Odor Eliminator, Angry Orange, Hoover brand Pet Carpet Cleaner... just to name a few. Products I bought that worked: THIS! AND ONLY THIS! I bought the Rocco & Roxie Stain & Odor Eliminator Spray from a different store to get it faster, and ordered this carpet cleaner solution from Amazon because I couldn't get it in store and it said I could get it from 4-8 am the next morning. My big issue here wasn't stains, but deep odors (60 lb pitbull/boxer mix + bladder issues = big stinky pee spots). Here was my routine: I sprayed the spot in the carpet down, then I poured a bit of the spray in the center of the spot. I took a washcloth and really worked it into the carpet to fully saturate the spot. R&R recommends leaving the spray solution for an hour or longer, I waited 1.5 hours. You take a towel and a weighted object (or your adult body stepping all over the towel) to soak up the solution. I smelled the carpet after and the smell was GONE! But I told myself I'd check again in the morning to be sure. Second check in the morning and it was still gone! I am pregnant and my nose is so sensitive. If there was even a WHIFF of pee, I would catch it. Yet, to be sure, I followed up with this R&R Carpet Cleaner solution in my portable carpet cleaner. The carpet solution bottle does say for tough odors to pre-treat with the spray, so we were already a step ahead. This combination worked wonders on the smell. I wish I could give a review for the efficacy of this carpet cleaner solution used by itself, but I only used it in conjunction with the spray. HOWEVER, I still recommend buying both to actually CLEAN the carpet. I am upset I've spent $100s on other products, trying to go the cheaper route, when this product was always recommended. Just believe the reviews. Seriously. I am going to buy the gallon version of the spray. I am a loyalist to this brand now. After buying way too many carpet cleaning solutions that didn’t live up to the hype, I decided to take a chance on this one. I already love other Rocco & Roxie products, so I was excited to see they had a carpet cleaner. This solution didn’t just make my carpets feel and smell clean — it actually CLEANED them. With other products I’ve tried, they seemed to work at first, but within a few days the carpet looked dingy again… sometimes even worse than before. This one went above and beyond my expectations after so many others fell short. It truly delivered lasting results. Thank you, Rocco & Roxie, for making products that actually work!

Pro: This is the first time I've used this, but it appears to work quite well, hasn't changed the color of the brown carpet, and removed 85% of the stains in the 20 year old carpet so that was good (rental). I used it in my Hoover LS steam cleaning machine so it does a great job on applying it and removing the soiled water in about 6 strokes each pass. It dried completely in about 12 hours. I was able to lay down the rug runners with no problem and the bedroom looks so much nicer now. I waited a few days and then cleaned the living room with the same results, but there were a few spots that discolored the old brown carpeting to an orange-brown which was probably from the old dog of the previous tenant. I purchased a new oriental carpet to cover up most of the old brown carpet after I had finished cleaning, drying, and airing it out. Such an improvement! Con: It's an old carpet and I just rent here. The previous tenant died and had a dog so the apartment smelled like a wet dog after it dried for two days. I left the patio door and windows open to air it out while it finished drying. Can't comment yet on how long it stays clean before it has to be done again, but I'll be back to review it in a few months. It's definitely the best product I've ever used so far, including when I've hired professional carpet cleaners! UPDATED: 10-2-25 It's been close to 5 months since I first cleaned it and it has held up well. I spot clean by hand whenever my coffee cup splashes out while I'm walking to get to my computer in the morning or track in dirt on my shoes, but maintaining it by vacuuming it frequently helps a lot. At this rate, I can see it will need to be shampooed again each year to keep it smelling and looking nice. I'm hoping the wet dog issue I had the first time won't happen when I clean it again, but I'll update my review after I find out what happens. I'll have to wait until May for the warmer weather to shampoo it again in case it needs to air out for several days again. After the next time I update my review, I might raise it to 5 stars then! lol
