Rainfly Tarp Hammock, Premium 14.7ft/12ft/10ft/8ft Rain Fly Cover, Waterproof Ultralight Camping Shelter Canopy, Survival Equipment Gear Camping Tent Accessories (Blue 12ft x 10ft)

Great price. Good waterproofing. As described in the add. Very durable. You will get lots of value with this purchase. Very pliable. Easy to set up or fold to store. Has the most tie outs that I can find anywhere. Lots of ways to set up. High quality. I have the 10x10 size.

One of the best flys I've bought that I can recall. Well thought out. Taped seams, Hooks all along the top, which is perfect for my use. Bright Dayglo yellow lines rather than typical cheap black, 4 nice quality aluminum stakes, tight waterproof fabric. I typically have to replace my flys every 2 or 3 years, I'm hoping this one lasts longer.

This tarp really delivered on value, much more than I was expecting for the price. I typically backpack with a small lightweight tarp or we use our travel trailer. I was recently doing a canoe trip with rain in the forecast and wanted something to go over the picnic table where we could all shelter. I looked at "big blue" tarps but have not found those to be durable. When I saw a 14.7' x 12' silpoly tarp with a 5,000mm hydrostatic head and including four stakes and guylines, I went for it. Long story short, this tarp performed beautifully. It is very compact and lightweight when packed, so took up little room in our canoe. I additionally purchased some telescoping tarp poles to use in case there were not convenient trees around the table along with stakes and line for them, which was useful at our particular campsite. We were only hit with about 30 minutes of hard rain, but the tarp did great and kept us dry. The side pulls in the middle of the panels are really useful for getting more interior room with the tarp deployed, I just rain a line to some nearby trees. I'll say the stuff sack could be a few more cc's in volume as it is really difficult to get the tarp back in along with the stakes and lines. That's usually the case with camping gear, but especially so with this tarp. I may make my own stuff sack for it. In any case, I'll probably be taking it trailer/car camping instead of my popup canopy just for the weight and space savings. I have not had it in a very windy situation yet, but I think how it performs will primarily come down to how well it is pitched. I heartily recommend this tarp over a big blue or similar tarp for performance, weight, and longevity.

I have owned this for 4 years. This is a phenomenal buy. The reason I'm reviewing this now is because I'm buying another one to extend my coverage and saw the 'review' button. This particular tarp has stood up to the trials of the Pacific Northwest without even batting an eyelash. There are TONS of eyelets all along the tarp on one side, which allow for all sorts of hanging configurations. If you have a hammock, or want to escape the rain on your camping trip, this thing can do it. It's completely waterproof and is made of a light parachute material? It doesn't weigh much and is pretty compact, however, I hate the size of the bag that holds the lines and stakes. They need to make it bigger. I suggest buying an aftermarket bag that's slightly bigger to avoid the headache of stuffing the tarp bag in it's bag. Another thing to note is that the eyelets are very well anchored into the tarp. I haven't had one rip yet and I've used them all depending on the trip. When considering the tie-down lines, I've become a big fan. They're neon yellow, so you're not going to lose them in the trees, and they all come with a plastic rope clip for easy tie-down. The stakes they provide are my favorite. They're small and made of aluminum, but they have 'slots' on one side for the rope to catch on when driving the stakes into the ground. Gives you peace of mind that the rope won't slip. Now, a con for the stakes is that I HAVE bent one, but they're lightweight aluminum, and I camp over rock sometimes. Replacements are about $15/dozen and I highly recommend buying them. Overall, I give this 4 stars because the bag is a little too small and they need to give more ropes and stakes. Besides that, A++! Things that could be improved on: - Put eyelets on the bottom as well. I want to be able to hang light things like a phone or LED lantern. - Put a few pockets on the inside as well. - Provide more tie-down lines and stakes - Make the holding bag a little bigger so it's not a pain to put back in.

This tarp is amazing! First off, it’s huge. I got the 12’x16’ tarp and while I know how big that is, it’s still pretty crazy when the thing keeps unfolding. It folds up quite small and fits back in the bag without issues as long as you fold it. You cannot use the bag like a stuff sack. The price point was way lower than other tarps of this type, and it’s even American made. My husband and I used it to cover two hammocks on our last camping trip and we were both well covered despite the trees being at least 5 feet apart from each other. The first trip we took it on was a 3 day canoe trip with rain expected, so we used it to make a big shelter the first day at camp. We were glad we did, because we got WAY more rain than expected and 4 couples with camp chairs fit under it and stayed dry the whole time. I can say with certainty that this tarp is waterproof. It has taped seams and tons of loops for connecting it to a ridge line in any shape you need. I sent all my friends a link to buy this tarp. It’s a game changer for a rainy camping trip.

We have been using tarps for various types of camping, primarily backpacking, for 50 years (yes, we are getting older and slower, but not less adventurous). Our backpacking style is fairly old fashioned: we don't mind packs of 40-50 pounds at the beginning of a 10-15 day trip. This tarp lends itself well to any camping trip that requires shade or rain protection, whether it be hammock, tent or bivy style setup. It has a great number of grommet points all round, with plenty of extra tie points across the body of the tarp. It can be very securely anchored in any configuration and may be well used for any purpose, from emergency shelter/tent style to large area covering to hammock tarp. The tarp can easily be set up as needed in most weather. We have secured it in sustained 35 mph winds and heavy rain without damage to the tarp. The tarp and guy line points are strong enough for those winds, but the wrong configuration would place more strain on the points than I would personally like; however, it did survive without damage. The lines provided with the tarp are quite strong, though experience will teach you in unexpected weather you need an abundance of guy lines, usually longer than those provided. The stakes provided are excellent stakes, but will work well only in fairly calm weather and with the right soil. Beyond that, you need to be creative or carry other stakes. All in all, the entire package is quite good, the tarp is excellent and performs as expected. We guess the life expectancy to be at least that of the finest lightweight waterproof tarp available anywhere. From our experience, the most likely problem will be a deterioration of the waterproof layer due to repeated folding/stuffing and packing. Some think tarps/tents/etc. should be folded or rolled the same every time, some think they should be stuffed. Regardless your method, this tarp should give many years of service.

This is a GREAT tarp. All of the loops mean you can strap this thing down any way you could imagine. This made a great hammock rainfly, and when the wind picked up and the wind hill got rough, we were able to make an excellent wind shelter with thus tarp. So versatile and my friend wants one for next time. Never liked a tarp so much before! As with all backpacking gear though, I wish it was juuuust a bit lighter weight. Ps: get some cam jam carabiners with this thing and thank me later

Just out of the package it looks like it's well made and with good materials. The guylines attachment seem to strong and well positioned for multiple kinds of setups. It comes in a small sack and it is a huge improvement from the classic tarp from big stores. So far so good. Soon it will be tested in the field.
