I’m very happy with this solar fountain. It started working within seconds of placing it in direct sunlight, and the water flow is stronger than I expected. The different nozzle options make it easy to customize the spray pattern, and it adds a beautiful touch to my bird bath. Installation took less than a minute, and it has been working reliably every sunny day. If you keep the pump clean and place it in full sun, it performs exactly as advertised. I would definitely recommend it!

I wanted something to keep the water in a bird bath moving to keep mosquito larvae at bay. This was cheap enough to try and honestly I didn't expect much, but as I said - I am impressed! Last year I installed the arms to keep the pump more centered but they became so loose they often fell off the pump. This year I didn't put them on and it works fine. I had put it out during a brief warm trend early this Spring and forgot about it when the weather turned cold again. Although the water froze one night, the pump started right up after I thawed it out. I never expected that to happen! The height of the spray depends on the amount of sun it is getting. In full sun there is a decent spray, but that varies as the clouds roll in depending on their density. At night and before sun rise, the pump is off. While others may want something different, that kind of operation is fine for my purposes. This year I am using a different (finer) mesh material for the filter and it seems to be working well, but it does need more frequent cleaning. I don't know that MUST be done but the supplied mesh just impressed me as being too open for someone that is not all that disciplined at keeping the pump cleaned - like I am. All in all, it was money well spent. If you buy one, some periodic cleaning will go a long way to keeping this working. A good spraying with the garden hose is generally enough and cleaning the filter is a must. At the end of last year I gave it a thorough cleaning and it started after letting it sit in the sun for a while. Should the need occur, I will definitely buy another one. Edit - 8/10/25 Well doesn't that figure! I write a review praising this product after having it for over a year and then it starts acting up. One day it worked well; the next day it still worked but barely. Cleaning it didn't help so I bought another one. But for the money, I still think it is a good buy. I just hope the new one does as well.

Smaller than I expected and easy to assemble. Still really cute and great, until it wasn't. Lasted about a year in the South Florida sun. Had to clean the solar-powered cells a few times before it finally stopped. Would probably last longer in more northern states or a seasonal pool. Enjoyed it while it lasted!

Love my fountain and so do birds. Works in full to mid sun. Shuts off on shady days but that’s to be expected. Bubbles out to attract birds creates no spray when used with no spray head which is perfect. Stay for the most part in center of birdbath. Birds come all day for a cooling off. There is only the light sound of the bubbling water. Cleaning is daily to keep motor clear of leaves .

***EDIT AS OF 5/08****** -1000 stars. Worst product I have ever purchased. I have had this now for FOUR DAYS and it no longer works. Summed up, it becomes completely useless and dies after a few days and up until that point, the spraying is so erratic and overly harsh, it shoots all water out of the bird baths. I tried every nozzle/ spray option. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I have had this for about 24 hours and have tried with two different bird baths. Within 10 minutes it stops working because it shoots all the water OUT of the birdbaths. I feel like I’m crazy because idk of any birdbaths that are wider/ longer to keep the water that is shot up, from spilling out. Not happy at all. I’ve tried multiple sprayers and the instructions are incredibly bad as well and difficult to understand, I had to get help to assemble. Would not recommend this and trying now to find out how to make use of this as I need this to attract birds and wildlife to the water as it’s very hot out. Not a good product.

This compact solar fountain is a good choice for areas of full, uninterrupted sunlight as it does not charge and continue to operate out of full sunshine to which I was disappointed with as my backyard patio is covered, but gets nice morning and evening sunlight in late spring through early fall. Thus this fountain barely performed in that location. I moved it out to the front deck which is full sun all day and it worked amazing. I spent several minutes changing out the different spray attachments to see how each worked and looked before selecting one. Changing the attachments is very easy so that is a plus. There are also four clips and plastic tubes which attach to the underside of the fountain to help it stay centered in whatever basin, birdbath, bowl or container it is placed, if you want, and the tubes can be cut to accommodate. Once I had it situated and my container filled with water, I was initially pleased with the power of the spray and the overall look. However, upon returning about 10 minutes later to check it, the fountain had STOPPED! It had used up all the water in the roughly 10inch diameter x 3inch deep basin! My conclusion was that most of the water spray had gone up and over the edges of the basin thanks to a light breeze and the attachment I had selected. Since I live in an area that is always a bit breezy, I'm going to need to reevaluate the size of the container to catch the falling water and/or a way to fully secure the fountain to the center of whatever container I use to avoid water spray over the sides. After all this, I'm not sure I will keep the product or if a submersible fountain set up will work better for what I want.

Easy to set up. But I can't use the sprinkler heads in my birdbath. The "motor" is too powerful for my size birdbath. That being said, I love it anyway, and so do the birds, squirrels, raccoons (at night). The four straws that attach, keep the sprayer in the middle of the birdbath, unless the raccoons gets in there at night to swim and bathe. They've learned how to get the straws off so they can move it to the side and get a full space to bathe. Great fun to watch. Great value.

I would buy this again. Water shoots high. Stops product from floating to the edge of a pond

This solar fountain has exceeded my expectations . I spent ages looking for the right one to do a little DIY solar fountain project . Kept hearing good and bad things then found this one . It works even when it’s overcast . It doesn’t need direct sun although it obviously performs better when it is . I have been so pleased with it that I intend to get another one to make a similar feature for my mum . If you are looking for a solar powered fountain you can’t go wrong with this one . Great value for money , easy to set up. A winner

Super petite fontaine. J'apprécie de pouvoir la mettre n'importe où et de pouvoir la déplacer facilement. À noter : vous pouvez retirer les embouts. C'est un peu moins joli, mais ça fait le doux bruit d'une fontaine, et surtout, ça ne vide pas votre bassine et quelques minutes au moindre coup de vent. Ce n'est pas une grosse fontaine électrique, donc le flux n'est pas continu et dépend du soleil. Chez moi, elle marche aussi à l'ombre, plein nord (en été). Je suis tellement satisfait que j'en ai acheté une deuxième. Pour éviter les guêpes, mettez un peu de vinaigre dans votre eau.

Thought I’d take a risk on a solar floating fountain as I’ve a couple of small ponds mainly for water adapted plants. The box comes with the solar panelled fountain and lots of attachments etc - usefully there’s a comprehensive booklet and there’s really not a lot to do other than placing the pump in the water - you allow the air to bubble out of it as you submerge it by placing it in the water at angle. It then floats and should start to work (it works even when cloudy but only minimally for obvious reasons). I have used the tube attachments which fit into the sponge (there are pre made slots in the sponge) basically to keep the fountain more or less centred in the planter. The placement of my ponds is a little shady and the pump did throw some water up but I considered it would be nice to have it sited somewhere where it could work for most of the day. I had a planter which came with a bung so filled with water and placed in an area of the garden I know gets more or less sun all day (north facing garden being the issue)….. and the fountain is great- very effective and super to have some water play as well as the sound. I think I’ll still end up buying another two for the ponds even if they do fall in shade at times during the day. Build wise the fountain is nicely finished and appears to be well constructed - the glass should be more resistant to the effects of UV unlike plastic. The pump started to work as soon as I got it out of the box - I’d recommend to anyone who has a water small feature in the garden - very reasonably priced. Update: had this for a couple of years now and still going strong. Bought 2 more since. Not sure why negative reviews are left when all the packaging clearly states it won’t work as well if it’s cloudy or dark - it would mean having to store the energy and that would mean a battery - a heavier item would not sit well in water. For the money this is great and works as it should. If the sprays seem weak you need to check that the mesh protecting the pump from debris doesn’t need cleaning as this usually the cause. Always good to check the glass for limescale build up (if topping up the water feature with tap water) as this inhibits the solar cells - BarKeepers Friend helps clean the glass if it’s just dull and limescale remover for deposits.

Works described.. but is my second one as the last one randomly died!!
