Nikwax Tech Wash (150ml) & TX.Direct (100ml) Twin Pack – Wash-In Cleaner and Waterproofer for Waterproof Outdoor Clothing, Restores Breathability and Performance

Having inadvertently washed my Superdry and taking out the waterproof, I got drenched every time it rained, soaking me right through. I turned to this product which was so easy to use. Needless to say, my Superdry is now waterproof again.

The cleaning part of the kit worked well and cleaned my old coat up a treat, but the waterproofing part hasn’t worked as well hence four stars. The coat still lets in water at the stress points like the shoulders and crook of the arms. That said it has made a difference and maybe with a spray on nikwax it might be totally waterproof. UPDATE I bought some more to do my partners coat and it worked a treat. I think the age and condition of the garment is what made the difference. My partners coat was newer than my old coat so maybe older garments need a second cycle of waterproofing.

I was sceptical about these but I had purchased a coat for walking from a local charity shop and felt it needed a wash before I wore it, but noted that it would lose it's water proof quality if washed in normal detergent, I washed as per instructions and the coat came out smelling a lot fresher, and true to the claim as soon as I went out in the rain the water just rolled into beads and straight off the coat...Job done, I am now going to buy again but a bigger pack this time as my hubby's coat needs a refresh but again it needs to stay waterproof

I am going on a visit to Ireland where it might be wet, but not cold. I was going to buy a new raincoat but instead decided to revive my Regatta coat which, regretfully, I have not re-proofed in my 4+ years of ownership. So I thought I would try the dual wash/reproof in this Nikwax bundle. Followed the simple instructions and the difference in the appearance and feel of the coat is amazing! I’m seriously impressed. Still to be tested in the rain but I have great hopes!

This stuff really works my Rab jacket and body warmer came out like new. After washing them previously in a normal detergent as per the label all the insulation in the jackets clumped together. This product freed it all and after tumble drying the jackets were like new. Although it is a good product the bottles pictured do not arrive only a single use sachet. This is a misleading add and is why I have only given 3 stars

I bought a second hand Goretex jacket that had definitely seen better days! It was grubby and smelt of smoke and the waterproofing wasn't great. I used Nikwax treatments on it and it's like new! Clean, no smell and water is beading on it . Delighted! It's not cheap but worth it. You get what you pay for!! X

Good news-You can use these both via a handwash, I put this down as too much faff and used the washing machine. First off wash your coats on a 30 deg C synthetic cycle in the Techwash and straight away while wet repeat using the proofer ( TX.Direct) on the same cycle, dry coats and bingo they are clean and the waterprroffing is back to water beading like when new. So what's my problem?- well it's this. The 150ml when you order reffers to how much wash you get which seems to be OK to do 2 adult coats ( according to the bottle) then the proofer ( which frankly is the whole point) is only 100ml which is enought to do ONE coat-says the bottle. So great product, works well, but if you are like me and had planned to more than 1 coat- buy the bigger size.....

After 4 years of wear my Arcteryx wasn’t beading the water off of it so much plus it was filthy. Put it in the wash with the nixwax and it’s actually as good as new. I was very impressed and will definitely be using it again.

E' un prodotto eccellente, semplice da usare e che risponde perfettamente alle esigenze di pulizia e impermeabilizzazione di un capo. Molto utile specialmente dopo una passaggio (sconsigliabile) in lavanderia di un giaccone impermeabile, di una giacca a vento etc. Il prodotto risolve egregiamente il suo compito. Non è molto economico ma i risultati sono ottimi.

Après avoir pris une grosse averse avec ma veste de randonnée, j'ai compris qu'au bout de 3 ans je devais faire quelque chose. Elle avait complètement perdu son étanchéité. J'ai opté pour ce produit et maintenant, plus de problème. La veste à retrouvé sa déperlance.
