4K Blu Ray Player, Ultra HD Premium Video Playback and Hi-Res Audio - DP-UB154P-K DVD Player (Black)

It's just what i was looking for on the cheapest 4k player out there.I went with this one by panasoinc so i don't have to use the PS5 for watching,bluray/uhd etc.The most downside i see is the player itself needs a wired connection if you want to update the firmware but with my current setup that's not much of a problem.Currently most of my dvd,bluray,uhd and music cds play fine on it.

I just got this DVD player, and I'm really impressed so far! Setup was incredibly simple – truly "plug and go." I appreciate that it's so versatile, capable of playing not only standard DVDs but also Blu-rays and even supporting 4K resolution. While I've only had the chance to watch regular DVDs on it so far, I can confirm it works beautifully. The picture quality is great, and everything runs smoothly. I'm looking forward to trying out its Blu-ray and 4K capabilities soon. If you're looking for a reliable and easy-to-use player that handles multiple formats, this one is definitely worth considering!

For those that have no video for some discs, disable Dolby vision on the player. That fixed it for me. The player works great. 4K resolution checks out. Pausing is a bummer though. Resuming more specifically. Even if you only pause for 20 seconds it’ll have a stumble when resuming. Either audio or video or both. But after that brief hiccup it’s fine. The player feels cheap. Not $250 worth but at least it’s pretty small. I’ll edit this review if I encounter any issues.

Great ultra HD video player works well and picture is crystal clear I have not had any issues since buying it 3 months ago. It is worth noting when you first turn on this player it is slow to startup and respond to your input and to read the disc. This can be fixed if you go to setup select player settings scroll down to system and where it says quick startup you want to switch that from off to on. Once quick startup is turned on the player should startup and read the disc faster and be more responsive to your input.

This is the worst Blu Ray player I've ever had. The remote is hideous, the buttons don't always work, the layout is bad, the interface isn't responsive, the top menu button doesn't work for every movie. Need I go on? I think I will. When you want to eject a disc, you better hope the player is in a mood to cooperate. I've had times where I press the eject button and the disc tray doesn't eject. I had to wait a while with it powered off and unplugged before it reset or something. Seriously, just buy something else. Don't waste your money on this garbage.

Amazing player, I was going to return several 4k movies because the ps5 was skipping, freezing, ect. I wanted to blame the disc's at first but then decided to try out a warehouse deal, so glad I did, this machine plays everything I own with a perfect flawness experience. I highly recommend this player, I know everyone wants the ub820 including me but this taught me a valuable lesson indeed. So easy to set up right out of the box. Picture, sound are all superior to the ps5. Very nice compact size design will fit perfect into anyone's setup. Complete with remote and batteries. Upscaling all your old dvd s, upscales bluray up to 4k quality, plays any disc you can put in including cd s of any kind.

Works perfectly. I've had this for about a month and I've played 5 different UHD Bluray discs on this machine and they've all played perfectly. ADVICE: If you get a black screen while audio plays, then this may be an HDMI cable issue (not this bluray player). This is what happened to me initially. Then I changed HDMI cables and the problem resolved. But then, about 30 minutes into a movie my screen turned solid green. Problem resolved after powering off then on the bluray player AND the TV. But after about 30 minutes the same problem returned. So, I bought a different brand HDMI cable, and this time it works flawlessly. FYI, all the HDMI cables that I tried were rated for 10k/8k "ultra high speed certified", 48 GBPS, and were CTS version 2.1. The only difference I saw in the cable that worked flawlessly was that this one stated 4k at "240hz" while the others simply stated 4k at "120hz" or "144hz". I'm not a geek enough to know if this is the reason.....But maybe you want to be sure that your HDMI cable is at least 4k at "240hz"

I bought this because I was watching my old DVD’s on my old DvD player and you could tell it was old. So I bought the Blu-Ray and WOW what a difference. I would recommend buying a Blu-Ray instead of replacing your old DVD’s. I have a copy of Shogun that was televised a long time ago. But it looks great with the BluRay. Highly recommend!

This might not be the top of the line Panasonic DVD player, but it does a really good job of playing my BLU RAY's and also my old DVD's that I have collected over the years. It is a good DVD player.
