I have this set up to charge my iPad Pro, while also communicating with a bunch of synthesisers via usb midi. It’s just totally reliable. Data connection is fast and solid, power is great - the four usb C slots do send power as well as data, although not variable PD, just the usual 5 volts I think. It’s well built, like all UGreen stuff. Very happy.

I’ve always been impressed with ugreen’s build quality and value. This device feels very well thought out components all of good quality. Works perfectly and would completely recommend.

No frills - does what it advertises. It’s shell is fabricated from a lightweight plastic which is fine but lacks the premium feel of similar aluminium products if that’s what you appreciate.

This is a great connector for my Mac desktop. I use it to connect an external drive, as well as various plug in USB drives (Type b and C). They connect seamlessly, and have never failed. The transfer speeds are good enough for importing/exporting photos etc, and the build quality seems great. Have been using it now for a couple of months, and have not had any issues. Good value for money.

Excellent build quality and works well. I haven’t done any speed tests with it but seems to flawlessly connect all my devices. This isn’t a powered hub which prompted me to extend my setup with an additional powered hub for the hungrier devices. Good stuff.

I purchased this splitter hub to connect to my Macbook 16" laptop - M1 Pro. It will also work on Windows based computers with USB-C connections My Mac uses Thunderbolt connections (USB-C compatible) which transfer data at 40 gbps but Thunderbolt hubs are expensive at around £130 to £300, depending on spec and manufacturer, so I opted for a slower data transmission speed with the Ugreen splitter, which transfers data at up to 10 gbps (depending on the specification of your PC/Laptop) which is plenty for my needs. In use, I can't really tell the difference in transfer speeds but I am talking about home use and not commercial or business usage where demands for speed and power may be more critical The Ugreen hub is lightweight, finished in matt silver-grey on an aluminium case, and has a short 24cms (just under 10") tethered cable with a USB-C plug to connect to my laptop. The hub will fit easily into a pocket or laptop case The hub worked straight out of the box with no setting up procedures or installation issues - just plug in and go! Reading other reviews, I think it is important to note that this Ugreen hub has no facility for charging other devices and does not have any outlets (HDMI, USB-A, SD card slots etc) other than the 4 x USB-C ports. I use it purely to backup data onto 3 xSSD external hard drives, which it does just fine. At £20.99 with next day Prime delivery, I am very happy with my purchase. Recommended

Data transfers seem fine, but it doesn’t output any power through the dock. So when I tried charging a device, it didn’t work.

Great little hub which offers fast transfer to both new and legacy devices. Good quality and well made. Not the cheapest but given the performance it’s well worth the price.

It is really tough to find a reasonably priced USB-C hub that can handle data throughput and a reasonable amount of power delivery, but thanks to UGREEN, I found exactly what I needed. Here's the deal- it's a simple hub. In order to get power to the hub you need to meet one of two conditions: 1. The port you're expanding already supplies 100w of power. 2. Plug in an external 100w USB-C power supply into the PD-IN port of the hub. Due to the laws of, well, physics, you won't get that 100w at every port if you only plug in a single 100w power supply. Supplying more than 100w of power would also fry this board, because it's just not rated to handle that much current. Designing circuits to handle that much wattage is expensive, and it's why other hubs are so much more expensive than this. Now that being said, for my use case, this little hub is perfect. I run a sound card, a phone charger, and an arduino off of it. It provides just the amount of ports I need in a compact package to make my desk space much more organized. It's a simple hub that does the trick for simple tasks quite beautifully. Enjoy!
