Update: After replacing the old one and my review, the company reached out to make it right! Customer service is something important to them. Super impressed and love my new unit! It truly makes a great office radio. Bought this September of 2024- the bluetooth never would work. The screen eventually quit working and now today it won’t go thru all the stations. But it always had good sound and made for a great office radio. So I ordered another one and hopefully it lasts longer. I guess for $25 you do get what you pay for.

I wanted to replace my decades old Sony Dream Machine, and the Buffbee bluetooth clock radio’s ad touting superior sound quality (“stunning Hi-Fi sound”) caught my eye. The Buffbee has a very attractive, compact design and is a perfect fit for the decor in my bedroom. I’m a senior citizen on the cusp of having diminished capacity, but I found the initial setup to be intuitive and the top control panel is conveniently organized. The lighting controls are a nice feature, and I especially like the fact that the buttons on top stay lit when the alarm goes off, so it’s easy to make a selection in a dark room. One of the reasons I bought this model was the ad emphasizing the quality of the speaker. But this turned out to be the only underwhelming feature. I mean it’s perfectly adequate for a clock radio of this size and cost, but the ad oversells this feature. I’m still giving it a 5 star rating because at this price point it would be unrealistic to expect it to sound like there’s a live symphony playing in the background. I set the alarm to play NPR on the radio in the early a.m., so the sound is just fine for the spoken voice. I wouldn’t, however, use it to play music on other stations or through my laptop using the convenient bluetooth feature. I have other dedicated bluetooth speakers for music. To the developers — if in the future you issued a very high end version of this clock radio with a superior speaker, I would have no reservations paying substantially more to purchase another one. Overall, I enthusiastically recommend this clock radio, as long as you don’t have unrealistic expectations regarding the sound quality.

Great sound Nice appearance. Clock setting instructions did not work, but clock set automatically when I connected my iPhone through Bluetooth.

Awesome updated digital clock! Replaced my other one bc display and signal was not working as well anymore. Love the radio and display. Bluetooth connection as well to listen to own playlist. My 10yo kid set up easily playing music from the phone. Haven't used or try the alarm, yet. Easy to use and set up. Lights change colors preference for glow. Wish it came in other colors besides black, but it's small, simple and sleek. Using for office desk. Thanks!

Is a nice clock with the Bluetooth working great. The sound is nice and not cheap sounding. If needed, I'd purchase again

Edited 3/28/2024: I've had this clock for 4 months and now the sound doesn't work. I tried to reach out to see about getting it replaced as the first clock I've had much longer is still working fine, but to no avail. It's a really great product, just be aware that the sound could stop working after a few months. Original review: This is the second alarm clock I bought for my children as the first was very difficult to operate. This clock is easy to use, has a lot of great features, looks nice and works great. The radio has a little static when used in the basement but it's not terrible. My kids love the changing light color and enjoy using the blue tooth feature to play music in their room. I loved it so much that I bought a second for my other children's room.

Really not a great mix of features. It has Bluetooth but no app for setting alarms or adding your own tune so basically, it's just a part time Bluetooth speaker. Also, it only comes with three alarm sounds and they all are not ideal for heavy sleepers. Its settings are also not super intuitive. Once you get the hang of it its not hard to navigate but figuring it out may take a minute. Its very loud though and has adjustable sound levels. It looks good, is nice and compact, and the time is easily visible while also not disturbing.

Great looking clock! Sounds great, has plenty of bass, and works well with bluetooth. Aesthetically, it's definitely a cut above the rest. Functionality wise..eh.. The 'backlight' for all the buttons only stays on for 5 seconds or less before disappearing, which makes it super hard to navigate in the dark. Key buttons like volume control are 'hidden' amongst the rest; whilst the 'set clock' button for example, which you'd never use in the dark, are located near the top and easier to find. On the plus side, the snooze button is front center and easy to hit, with several brail like nubs to help reassure you're hitting the right button, but the rest are indistinguishably smooth. I sure wish there were some, if not at least a single, nub(s) on either the volume buttons or scanning buttons for the same purpose. Would make a huge difference. The auto preset for radio stations is kind of cool, but that's also the only option it comes with and it's pretty awkward scanning through radio stations to be honest, although it functions well enough I suppose. The biggest drawback though, is that the battery it comes with is designed only to keep track of the time and alarm time setting. Not only will the display go dark if unplugged, but the alarm gets turned off as well. So if the power goes out you're screwed. Definitely not reliable as an alarm clock during a power outage. Although, I suppose it IS advertised as a 'plugged in' clock, so I guess that's on you, but still.. that's pretty essential for an alarm clock.

A great blend of form and function. First of all, it does not get easily bumped off the night table. Second, but most important for me, is that the radio reception is really good - better than the last two bedside radios I had. The instructions are clear, it is easy to change the time or change the radio station, and the alarm sound is birds chirping! Only downside I guess is that it is hard to find the radio ON button in the dark, but I think after I while I can braille my fingers to find it. All in all this is good solid product.

Firstly - so glad I bought this. It's great! But you need to have a shaver type adaptor for it to be compliant with UK electrics. It was pretty easy to set up, and I love the bird song alarm wakening option. Very soothing.

Compact size, the display looks fantastic, sound is good. I love it!
