Excellent for use in UK icy conditions
The dogs don't care if it's icy - they want to go outside for a walk. Bought these in early 2026 during an icy spell and they are superb. Easy to fit and take off, and can be worn all the time even on non-icy ground. Lightweight and improve grip a lot! 100% recommend.

Good traction and inspires confidence when walking outside
* Physical I love walking. Been exercising this way for over a decade. And I have lost a huge amount of weight with an intermittent diet. My sister noted I was frustrated with the slippery paths. And staying indoors to keep safe. She put me on ice grips. I decided to look in Amazon's databases for a good solution. I was taken aback when they arrived, as I thought it was just one grip. These grips are made in France. They look and feel lightweight. They are not under-engineered. If you've bought the correct size, they will fit your footwear. I have used and returned to several times, the same design cross of walking boots and trainers made by Clarks. These grips fit well and seem secure on my boots. I have taken several shorter walks to try them out, and these give great traction and inspire confidence when outside in the cold weather. You still need to walk flat-footed, shorter than your normal stride, and both slowly and carefully. I checked with my family members and my uncle texted me back and he has the same model. They have lasted him for winter weather after winter weather. There is a Pro version available on the Yaktrak store, if you are contemplating serious expeditions in the snow and ice at around £33 * Update 13 January 2026 One of the rubber straps has come loose. So bought another just in case. Ok is snapped. It's not perfect. But it's better to buy another just in case than to fall on ice that could come soon.

Fit a size 6 walking boot/wellington.
Thankfully, the size small fits tightly under sole and over front toe and heel to rear of my size 6 walking boots. However, I'd suggest next size up for a size 7 boot. I've not worn out yet as the snow/ice has dissolved. However, I'm sure they'll secure my walks during icy weather. Hoping they are durable and last for quite a few winters as they weren't cheap.

Not for everyday use, but great for when you do need them.
In the end we didn’t use these when we bought them for a recent holiday. However, was really impressed with the quality and fit of these when they arrived so decided to keep them for future use. Probably won’t need to use the regularly, but in the event we do they slip really easily over boots and shoes - therefore giving extra stability in icy conditions. Definitely a better to have it and not always need it rather than need it and not have it kind of order!!

Perfect for Iceland but try first
Bought these for a March trip to Iceland. It snowed just before we got there and the whole Golden Circle route had crampon signs everywhere. Wearing these crampons my wife and I had no slipping issues (as opposed to many tourists not wearing any!) and they were easy to put on/off. Gave us great confidence to just explore without risk. The only recommendation is try them on before you go and ensure they are fitted properly. My wife's just about fitted her boots and we had 2 instances where one came off her shoe. A strap over the top would be a great addition.

They Work Well.
Been testing these out in the snow and ice and they work well. Much more grip than if I didn't have them on. They do slip a little on ice but they do bit in and I have not fallen over yet. Another positive is that this style wont ruin your floor when you get inside. Fit wise they stretch and are not an issue on size 11 shoes with the large size.

Unable to review as took so long to arrive
Seems ok. Fits on my boots. Can't review the actual product and whether it works or not as I ordered it the night before snow/ ice was predicted, but it took so long to arrive (8 days!!!) the snow is long gone and it's practically summer.

Ice trails
Took them on an arctic trip and they worked well on thick icy trails. I wore them over size 3 keene winter boots and had no issues. Easy to pull on and off when needed. I am not sure how durable they will be in the long term but for light hikes they were fine.
