No Brainer: A funny middle school adventure from the #1 international bestselling Diary of a Wimpy Kid series (Book 18) (Volume 18) Review: Easy Fun Read - The book is funny and easy to read, which made it hard to put down. Greg Heffley goes through normal middle school problems, but the way he handles them is hilarious. The drawings throughout the book make the story even more entertaining. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes funny stories and wants a quick, enjoyable read. Great for elementary and early middle schoolers however everyone could enjoy it. Review: Great YA series - I purchased this for my youngest grandchild, and only granddaughter, for Christmas. She is an avid reader and specifically asked for the Wimpy Kid books. Since I wasn't sure what ones she had read and hadn't, I chose to start towards the end and go backwards to build her collection. She opened this and immediately hollered across the chaos of flying paper of our family gathering to thank me. Later in the evening we were outside doing the adult white elephant exchange and I looked over my shoulder to see her about 10 feet behind me, earbuds in listening to music, book in hand with her legs curled under her reading already a quarter into it. She thanked me again when we headed home telling me this was exactly what she wanted. As always, all opinions and reviews are of my own volition. I have not been promised any compensation, current or future, by the author or publisher for a fair and honest review.

Funny, engaging, and it actually made my child want to read
I bought this book for my son, and it has been such a positive experience for our family. This is the 18th book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, and it keeps the same funny, easy-to-read, and very engaging style the series is known for. Before this series, reading was more of a “required” activity for my son. We used to have a daily reading time of about 20–30 minutes, and he did it, but it felt like a chore for him. There wasn’t much excitement about it. Now, I don’t have to push him at all — he tells me, “Mom, I’m going to read,” and goes on his own. Even though our daily reading time is now 30–40 minutes, it doesn’t feel forced anymore, and that makes me really happy as a parent. He is genuinely interested in these books and is already close to finishing the series. In fact, he is now asking me to buy the next books himself, which is something I honestly didn’t expect before. My only “problem” now is that I’ll need to find another series that can keep his interest at the same level! I also work in a school, and during free choice time I often see the same thing: some kids run to play, and some kids choose to pick up these books and read instead. That says a lot about how engaging and fun this series really is. The book itself is nicely made, with a sturdy cover and clear print. I also added a short video showing the book, the cover, and flipping through the pages, so you can see what it looks like in real life. If your child doesn’t love reading yet, this series is a great way to get them interested. For us, it really made a difference, and that’s why I’m giving this book 5 stars.

Engaging, Well-Written, and Age-Appropriate
I purchased this book for my son, and we read through it together shortly after it arrived. First impressions matter with children’s books, and this one immediately held his attention. The writing is clear and age-appropriate without feeling overly simplified. The pacing moves well, and the content is structured in a way that keeps kids engaged rather than overwhelmed. The physical quality is also worth mentioning. The cover is sturdy, the pages are well-bound, and the print is clean and easy to read. The font size and layout are comfortable for younger readers, which makes a difference when they are building confidence reading independently. Content-wise, it strikes a nice balance between being entertaining and meaningful. It sparked conversation between us, which I always consider a positive sign. If a book encourages questions or discussion, it has done more than just fill time. This would be a good fit for parents looking for something engaging but not overstimulating, and appropriate for elementary-age readers. Based on our experience, I would feel comfortable purchasing other titles from the same author or publisher.

Good book for children!
This was a pretty good book to read, but I felt like Greg talked a lot of some events. Nevertheless, it's a book for all ages can enjoy.
