Buy Color Me To Sleep: Nearly 100 Coloring Templates to Promote Relaxation and Restful Sleep (9) (A Zen Coloring Book) Clr by Mucklow, Lacy, Porter, Angela, McGinn, Alanna (ISBN: 9781631062377) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Perfect Colouring Book for Insomniacs! (and everyone else too) - Color Me to Sleep by Lacy Mucklow and Angela Porter Published by Race Point Publishing (£10.99) Color Me to Sleep is written by Art Therapist Lacy Mucklow and Illustrated by Angela Porter. It is soft backed, measures 22.2 x 1.9 x 24.8 cm and has a whopping 208 pages making this good value. Isbn :978-1631062377 The book starts with an introduction about the importance of sleep and the role colouring can have on achieving it. It is then divided into six chapters, each with a brief introduction and a few coloured pages before the main colouring sections. The six chapters are Peaceful Environment, Cozy Comforts, Quiet Getaways, Relaxing Routines, Sleep Scenes and Fantasies and Dreams. Each colouring page is single-sided (although they have a decorative pattern on the back which you could colour) and the paper is a decent middle weight with enough tooth to take pencils well, however as it is single-sided it is well-suited to marker use (just put scrap paper underneath if use alcohol based markers to prevent any bleedthrough marking the next page). Each chapter is also themed to fit the title of the book or chapter well – Quiet Getaways has a hammock between two palm trees, Cosy Comforts has mugs of hot chocolate and cushions etc. There are many sleep and relaxing related pictures – beds, baths, candles, sleeping animals, moonlight scenes and lots of not overly detailed Mandalas (you can’t have a Zen colouring book without Mandala’s, lol). The book then finishes with an Afterword. It is very different than most colouring book in taking its therapeutic approach – many claim they are Art Therapy books yet they are just pictures and so it is nothing more than a marketing ploy – what makes this one different is it actually is what many claim to be. If you like this one there are also lots of other books in the “Color Me….” range; including Color Me Happy, Color Me Calm and Color Me Stress-Free among others, all with the same format. As an insomniac I feel this is a book to help me to sleep, the pictures are small and simple enough to complete in an evening, while still having the amount detail that I love to colour. Once I start colouring I find it hard to put the book down until the picture is finished so these are the perfect size for me. I highly recommend this one and will be colouring from it very soon. Full Flipthrough on my YouTube Channel - Hazel Smithies I was sent this book in exchange for an honest and fair review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own true thoughts and feelings about the book. Review: A relaxing colouring experience. - What a lovely colouring book. Full of imaginative designs for a relaxing colouring experience. I like the way in which the book is divided into different chapters ,each on a different theme of rest and relaxation. Each chapter is headed by a nice introduction. Also, the book is of a very high quality. It is very nicely bound and with high quality paper. I would highly recommend this book for an enjoyably relaxing colouring experience. :D

Not up to her usual standard
Ah well. I have other Lucy Mucklow books I am thrilled with and this turned out to be a bit disappointing. There were too many *scene* drawings. These are all a bit *painting by numbers* and very basic (think- suitable for young children). I love Lucy's abstract drawings and have derived great enjoyment from those, it is just a shame she did not keep to that theme - it is an area in which she excels.

There is a whole set of adult coloring books by Lacey Mucklow. They are well-made and each one has a theme. I bought the whole set and a set for my very ill sister. There is one called color me calm, color me to sleep, Color me happy, color me fearless and color me stress free. They are the best!!! I have been sick for about 10 years now and have trouble with anxiety and depression on top of all my other illnesses. I wake up in the middle of the night very sick and will get my coloring pencils out and color away. I love these books so much that I quit coloring in all my other adult coloring books. My younger and only sister is in the fourth stage of liver failure, Parkinson disease, fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression along with a list of other illness. There is nothing that can be done for her. Every since I bought these books for her she seems like she feels better. Every time she gets a page colored she takes a picture of it and texts it to me. I hate that I live in Kentucky and she lives in Arizona with her husband. Our mother died suddenly last year of a brain hemorrhage after having breast cancer surgery. My mother lived with my sister and brother-in-law to help take care of my sister. I am sick myself and have grandchildren that would be brokenhearted if I moved with my husband to arizona. Plus he has had the same job for almost 20 years and it is easier for him to take me to the doctor because I cannot drive anymore. Also we live 2 miles from his work so he can come home and check on me at lunchtime. I really look forward to coloring in these books. They really do help with a lot of situations and I feel calm while I am coloring in them. Thank you for making Life more bearable for me and my sister.

Sehr schönes Buch. Die Flächen zum Ausmalen sind angemessen groß, oft sind sie bei anderen ähnlichen Malbüchern viel zu winzig!
