Learn Braille: Uncontracted (Grade 1) & Contracted (Grade 2)

Easy to use, great for learning

This book is very easy to follow... It's giving me great enjoyment as learning braille has been an aim of mine for some time.... I have worked in care for 30+yes and anything I can learn to improve my care skills is great as no one in care work ever knows what skills they will need when assisting clients.

A great introduction to the topic. I learned the basics quickly and was able to put together a rudimentary lesson on the topic for some 9 year olds with ease using this book. I found it easier than using tutorials from YouTube.

The book is set out well and easy to follow. I was however expecting there to be risen areas / actual braille for you to be able to practise with. Instead all the learning is visual (which somewhat misses the point, you would have thought?) Not the best but didn't shop around much so can't complain. If you want purely visual learning this book will do! Thanks

Super little guide

So so interesting! Practical, clear! I love it!

The book does a pretty good job at helping us get started with Braille. But for the amount you're paying, I just think it's better to download a PDF online. I thought since the cost is this high, the book will have some kind of engravings or some kind of marks on the sheet. But there's nothing. I still am not sure why the cost is this high. Just wanted y'all to know this, in case you were expecting any engravings inside the pages.

It had all the information I wanted to know about Braille. Only thing is it doesn't have any actual embossing on it, so... If you're trying to use this to teach someone who is legitimately blind, this is not what you are looking for. Great for sighted teaching though.

This is an absolutely AMAZING reference book. Do NOT let the small, thin size fool you. There is an insane amount of information hidden in those pages. Without the ant sized print! The explanations for every single part of written English are so detailed and concise, I feel like I am learning the language for the first time. This book has me questioning what have I been speaking, reading and writing with before, because it certainly no longer feels like I had used English. LOL! Seriously worth the purchase to have in your book collection, even if you are not actively trying to learn Braille.
