Heller 1:24 - Citroen Van HY

Another excellent kit by Heller.

Would really help if you had a jig to work with. Highly detailed and while parts fit together well it's difficult to keep everything straight and without a jig of some description you will find panel gaps. Thankfully I was going for an old care worn look. I have no idea why some components were formed out of clear plastic instead of the silver the majority was made from. Matching paint to the existing silver components proved futile so you might find it easier just to find another contemporary colour for the entire lot. Instructions were confusing as certain parts were mislabeled. I couldn't find any trace of the rear hatch's handle, thankfully a Méhari kit I purchased around the same time had a spare handle that did the trick. Almost finished, just need to give it a dirt/ oil wash and add some rust.

Nice model to construct, easy to follow although not yet 100% complete.

Don't get me wrong, this is a smashing kit. It does help if you understand vehicle mechanics, I found that a few of the parts are numbered wrong and I had a part missing. The instructions are a bit hit and miss too. It goes together well and is sturdy once completed. Make sure you undercoat the parts first too as it will ensure the colours stay the same throughout especially as some of the parts are clear. After building this kit I think I would pay the extra and get one of the EBBRO (Tamiya) versions. It is more expensive but you do get a lot more included and the quality is better.

Nice kit of an unusual vehicle, but the moldings were distorted and poorly fiting

I got this for my Neighbour who loves Citroens and has owned multiple. He loves building things as he is an engineer so I got this for his birthday, he was very pleased with it!

Mooie modelbouwset, met heel veel detail. In elkaar zetten is niet voor kinderen. Sommige onderdelen zijn fragiel en daardoor lastig uit de frames te snijden.

No pongo fotos pues aún no la monté. Atención, no es una maqueta montada, es una maqueta de plástico para montar, con sus instrucciones, llevan su tiempo a montar, ideal para los aficionados de las maquetas, prestar atención a las piezas pequeñas. No trae pintura ni pegamento. Es una maqueta preciosa

Delusione quasi totale, ho aperto la scatola e ho controllato gli sprue e ho trovato dei pezzi storti e ne mancavano tre del motore, la plastica è morbida e i pezzi si piegano facilmente. spero di rimediare con i pezzi storti riguardo il motore essendo nascosto non so che farò. !!!!!!!!.

Vielen Dank für das gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Der "Fourgon" liegt mir schon länger in der Nase, jetzt habe ich ihn mir gegönnt. Ich muss sagen, 138 Teile sind im Gegensatz zu mir bekannten "alten" Bausätzen von Heller, sichtlich aus einer neuen Form. Es gibt nichts zu Mäkeln, und wer noch nicht den Bericht zum Bausatz in der Modellfan gelesen hat, sollte dies noch nachholen, es lohnt sich.
