OK, this little book, basic intro to free. cad. It has taught me such a wide variety of skills. I've got a new advanced. book. but it seems like everything in the. advanced book. I already know how to do because of the. because of the introduction. Of the basic book. Step by step introduction to free cad. Modeling. This is a great book, and it's a great place to start. I'm very pleased and very happy That I started here with this introduction book. Because it's taught me even advance skills. very easily.

Great book for beginners
I already know Freecad but my first year was frustrating until I finally had the Ah-Ha moment. This book would have cured that problem in the first day! The guides for the included projects are excellent. i even pickked up a couple neat tricks in the process. There are a couple other things I would have included in the first book but those might be in the second and will be getting that one next.

A little outdated but….
Still a excellent reference, the upgraded software makes it seem a little hard to follow in the beginning, but once you toy with a few buttons in the program the book really starts to make sense.

Simplifies the use of FreeCAD for the new user
A great book for the first time user of FreeCAD. The path it took led the reader lead the reader to a simpler more direct approach. My only criticism is with the choice of the dark blue color scheme and black lines for displaying parts as they were made. This resulted in low contrast that made it difficult to see some of the details with a normal Kindle white and with the printed version of the book.

Does what it says on the tin. Buy it.
It actually takes the reader through all the controls, in a sensible sequence. It has clear illustrations that show what the controls look like. It explains everything clearly. It absolutely does "what it says on the tin"

I gave it to my technician
I don't have the book right now but using the basic FreeCAD tutorial. Unfortunately, it doesn't correlate that well with what's on my screen. The FreeCAD program is a huge, overwhelming app, and I still haven't found a resource that I can get through to even clearly scratch its surface. I wish there were some courses available in this area. Not much interest, I guess.
