Crisco Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening Sticks, 20 Ounce, 3 Sticks

Easy to use version of a favorite brand of shortening. My youngest sister told me about how much better it is to buy these sticks of Crisco instead of the old style in a can or container. She was so correct! Now I can use Crisco to bake my grandmother’s cookie recipes, knowing they will be soft and more flavorful due to the longtime quality of the Crisco brand, used now for 5 generations in our family.

This may have been the easiest part of my first pie crust experience. Years ago, a friend of mine's mom would make homemade squirrel pot pies and they were delicious. Her crust was always the highlight and I asked her how she made them. She replied that she used "Fluffo" and it was the secret to the crust. Well... I couldn't find Fluffo so I ordered these Crisco Butter flavored sticks. I wanted to do everything from scratch since I'm a single retired guy and have all kinds of time on my hands. I followed a recipe I found online and spent the morning making crusts. This product was so easy to incorporate into the dry flour, and my end result looked just like the pictures online. It was a little scary and time consuming making the filling, but the pies actually turned out quite well and were very good. I think I'll use the other two sticks on a fruit pie. What the heck... I have the time!

This is all I’ll use for making pie crust. My mom taught me back in the 50’s never to use anything but Crisco. Then when butter flavor came out, it was even better. People rave about my pie crust. My daughters like to use butter for their homemade biscuits saying it’s healthier, but between you and me, Crisco makes them lighter and fluffier.

My delivery was delayed.I understand things do occur at times. I love using the Crisco sticks for baking. This was a good deal compared to the price in my neck of the woods. First thing I do is check the expiration date! The delivery was good. However, the product was warm and soft so I just put it in the freezer for 5 mins to get it firm. I expected that because it's not a delivery truck that keeps items cool. But, my opinion/ advise during the hot seasons or any seasons I think items that are susceptible to melting in heat should be delivered in a truck that have a freezer and/or packed in dry ice. Overall, I'm satisfied!

I used these in my baking. Great price compared to the grocery store. I thought I was going to have stop making these Thumbprint Cookies

Got these for wifey to take when she travels to kids houses where they don't have old-fashioned supplies that we old fogeys use to make the delicacies they want us to fix from scratch. These are convenient, last a looooong time & are worth having on the pantry shelf.

So easy to use. The 1 cup blocks make things super simple. Actually works better than real butter for many baking applications
